I'm less grumpy today (and my office breathed a sigh of relief!), but yes, I do manage to be cranky, even when I have bright colours on.
I'm so used to bright colours that they don't even phase me.- Sweater - Lord & Taylor, thrifted; first worn here in February with yesterday's trousers
- Skirt - Oui Set, thrifted; purchased here a couple of weeks ago for $16.95
- Boots - BCBG Max Azria; last seen here in February with tones of grey
Overall, I liked the colours in this outfit - I mean, who doesn't like cobalt blue and fiesta?! Fiesta! It's even fun to say! However, this turtleneck shape is everything I don't like about turtlenecks. I have all this chestal space going on. *waves airily*
I adored this skirt, though. Such a great texture and soft and a great colour. In case you're wondering, I'm kind of swapping things in and out of my capsule - I've winnowed out a few things and have put in a couple of things here and there. I'm under the number of items that I started with, but I still have a full month to go, so we'll just go with the flow and see what happens.
The stuff:
Great galloping black boots!
Gold bling:
And a bigass necklace.
- Necklace - D'Orlan, vintage, thrifted
- Earrings - local
One of my coworkers today asked, "Is it real?" (meaning, is the necklace real gold). "Yes, it's a real necklace," I deadpanned. No, it's not real gold, only gold-coloured.
The tone on that necklace does look like real gold... its such a great statement piece.
ReplyDeleteLOL @ your comeback. Love this color combination and the statement jewelry.
ReplyDeletePS Trump had a good electoral night last night - we are investigating condos in Vancouver should he win. Neighbors!!

Sheila, your brights are brightest! I love them.
ReplyDelete(Much as I would love you to move to Vancouver, Patti, I hope there is no need!!!)
Great skirt, in a fab colour. And I think the necklace remedied the chestal area problem very neatly - if you hadn't mentioned it we surely wouldn't have noticed.
