Two more weeks of my 46-ish day capsule, and I'm still having fun coming up with outfits. When one is a maximalist (as opposed to a minimalist) such as I, restricting your selection is a great way to stimulate creativity.
I'm sure I must have worn this top and these tights together before, but this outfit really highlighted how well they match.- Top - Dept, consignment; last worn here in February with a given-away skirt
- Skirt - Oui Set, thrifted; first seen here earlier this month with cobalt
- Boots - Prepare Guide, Fluevog; last worn here (2nd outfit) last weekend with more cobalt

Vizzini was being very lovey this morning. I've been opening the deck for him briefly before I leave for work as the weather gets warmer.

"Who are you talking to? There is no one in the camera." |
The stuff:
Fuzzy boots!
Shiny bling:
Cat-bait earrings, for sure!
- Earrings - Jacob
- Lapis lazuli ring/Fulvia Ring - Wendy Brandes
Tomorrow's will be my last post for a little bit - time for a break. Don't worry, I'm not going far! Oh, and please go tell Jodi how awesome she looks in the coat I made her buy!
That really does look like a fun outfit to wear. I can't believe how the tights and top work together!
ReplyDeleteYou're going away? Or taking a break? Or both. . . I am going to be interested to hear more when you return. Thank you for all the wonderful posts you do so faithfully for us, your fans!
OH I love the skirt.. the length and the color as well as the fit!! AND I cant believe you found tights to match that top.. crazy.. thats awesome.
ReplyDeleteAnd I love your son. I hope to meet him one day. He appears to be very interested in fashion as well. Lucky he's black so his fur doesn't show up too much (at least I'm assuming). I have learned the hard way that having 2 white cats and alot of black clothing isn't all that compatible :(
Have fun going bye bye :)
love particularly your 'fuzzy boots', such an interesting texture, and also lovely shape!
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm loving your shirt & tights combo, perfectly matchy and absolutely cool!!!, and love your skirt!
besos & cats
Loving the matchy-matchyness here - and of course... the BOOTS!
ReplyDeleteFuzzy boots, fuzzy skirt and crazy-ass top and tights. Check. You qualify for excellence. Hahaha. Oooh, I hope you enjoy your break!
ReplyDeleteLovely fun outfit, Sheila! The tights and top are so good together and beautifully set off by the fuzzy skirt and boots.
ReplyDeleteHave a nice break!

You put unique items together and create the sensational. Enjoy your little break.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it though? I genuinely love packing for, and then wearing what I brought along on, a trip for this very reason. I usually try to do so with a general colour palette of 4 - 7 main colours and then have a blast coming up with ideas (often on the fly) for outfits within the confines of such. It's a great exercise for fashionistas like us and one that often creates looks that I then go on to wear for years.
ReplyDeleteTerrific outfit! You just can't beat a good red pencil skirt in my books.
Many hugs,
♥ Jessica
This crazy matchy-matchy thing really works, doesn't it? And yes, I'm surprised that it's not been aired before. I will finally confess that I'm not really a cat person, but your little guy looks like he's a bit of a card, a real person hiding inside a cat. I love his facial expressions.

That was the first thing I thought: "how does she get tights to match her shirt???!!". fabulous.
ReplyDeleteVery good outfit.
And I agree with what you are saying, restriction stimulates the creativity.
Necessity does too. Having to walk on flat shoes for nine weeks, opened up some creativity with me too. And I am also a maximalist.
