Unabashedly Padded a la Gaga

Unlike yesterday's jacket's very short life in my closet, this jacket's a keeper.
It just makes me want to dance!

  • Jacket - Garden Collection, H&M, consignment; purchased here a couple of weekends ago for $22.98
  • Top - Mossimo, thrifted; last seen here in May under mustard
  • Tapestry skirt - no label, handmade, thrifted; first seen here in July on a Casual Friday
  • Shoes - Queen of Prussia, Louise, Fluevog; last seen here in May (5th outfit) with a crazy pattern

I waggled my shoulders at everyone today. It was a very popular jacket, although I did get quite a bit of the side-eye when I was out on the street. Heh.
I really liked the dark reds (skirt, shoes) with this very bright red - all of the pictures of this jacket I've seen online are of women wearing a white t-shirt and jeans with it. Bo-ring!

The stuff:
Gaga-esque shoes, for sure. These are so comfortable!

Bigass bling:
Big chain, big earrings.

  • Necklace - $10 grab bag, consignment
  • Earrings - thrifted
  • Spinner ring - consignment
  • Ring - POLY, vintage fair

I went looking for Vizzini this morning (to say goodbye with a snuggle), and found him on the second tier of his deck post.
"Tuesday means the second step, woman."
He never sits there. Weird cat!

  1. Love those linebacker shoulders! I can picture you waggling. I agree, your iteration is hands-down far more interesting that jeans and a T.

  2. The jacket is the kind of piece which the fashion police would have you believe needs to be "dressed/toned down" with jeans and a t-shirt. Well, you know what we say to those kind of rules! I love that you have dressed it up with more colour, a skirt and heels - why not? It looks fabulous!
Btw (just catching up) I really like that vintage jacket in your previous post - might you consider giving it another try, maybe with different colours underneath? I can see why you went for purple, given the lilac in the fabric, but you have such a wide range of colours on your wardrobe, I think it might be worth trying again. xxx

  3. So waggle-able! Fantastic jacket and the whole look too. Funny, I found Skinny G on the second floor of the cat condo yesterday too - she's been strictly a ground-floor girl. Cat communication across the miles?? xox

  4. That jacket is a keeper, and the colour works great with the purple tones. I remember seeing it at one of the H & M stores in Toronto and thought it would be fun to wear. Lucky you finding one secondhand!

  5. Where did you get the gorgeous shoes? Who makes them? I love your outfit!

  6. I would be the boring one, wearing the jacket with a white T-shirt and jeans haha. But now I have you to teach me. Although I am not a good learner, no matter how much teaching I get.
You have paired it well. I am also in awe over the shoes. Fluevog? I am pretty sure they are.

  7. Oops, thanks, Elaine and Greetje - I forgot to credit the shoes! They are indeed Fluevogs!
