A Simple Dress, With Aqua

I have to admit: I felt like a million bucks in this dress all day.
Considering it was $14.50, I think that's a bargain.

  • Dress - Elie Tahari, consignment; purchased here on the weekend for $14.50
  • Shoes - Prepare Guide, Fluevog; last seen here in July with stripes

How did I find this dress for so cheap? Well, My Sister's Closet has all dresses on 50% off, so that's a bonus, but how did it not get snatched up sooner? It's a killer dress. Take a look at the back.
Eee! Every part of the pattern lines up all the way around! Such a waste of fabric, but I'm so happy it does that.

The dress was mislabeled as to the size. It said size 12 on the store's tag, and it was slotted in with the size 12s. This dress? Not a size 12. It's a size 8 US, but it's a 12 UK. Ahhhhh...someone in the store read the sizing tag wrong!

And this is why I look at every size range. You never know!

The stuff:
Aqua blue fabulousness! After my WW meeting tonight, I waited after for L to meet up with me (we went for pizza at Pizzeria Primastrada - real authentic Italian-style! Mmmm...), and two people walked by and commented on these shoes. You love 'em or you hate 'em. I think you know where I stand.

Blue bling:
The fabric piece with the crows went well with the dress.

  • Cuff - Shi Studios
  • Fulvia Ring - Wendy Brandes

And now...off to watch trashy TV!

  1. You look like a million bucks in that dress also! :) Such a bargain, and wonderful for you that it was put in the wrong sizes - that's probably why it was still there! :)

  4. Awesome awesome dress. I love Tahari. And you never know, just because the size equivalent says one thing, doesn't mean it is. Always try on!
