Florence Dress, Obi and Gold Things

Yup, the  most creative post title ever. I'm tired - it's been a long day.
That whole "instant outfit" thing about dresses? Still applies today.

  • Dress - Max & Co.; last seen here (3rd outfit) in April for Easter at Mom's
  • Shoes - Modern Vintage, thrifted; last worn here in July with my camo dress

I built this outfit around the obi. I needed something with a wide flat waist - a dress means I don't have to fuss with a top coming untucked from the obi or a skirt's waistband (always trick with a belt).

As always, I get tons of comments on this gorgeous dress. People just want to touch it.
Shiny! I almost wish I'd bought this dress in another colour/material. I think they had 5 or 6 different versions in different fabrics. I love that the fabric was woven in Italy, and the dress was made there too - it was worth every penny. It feels like quality...because it is!

The stuff:
Comfy flats carried me from work to my WW meeting tonight.

Belt and bling:
I liked this belt - wish it were leather! - and liked how it looked. First wear of the obi and the stacking rings.

  • Belt - Bennetton, thrifted
  • Rings - thrifted
  • Earrings - local

Couch time!

  1. I really like the combination of the OBI and the dress together, they look like they were made for each other! :)

I'd certainly be guilty of wanting to come touch the fabric of that dress too, haha! It looks awesome :)

Hope things aren't too stressful and you have some downtime this weekend if you can't get any any earlier :)

  3. That is my favourite dress shape - fitted, close to the body on top and a big poof of skirt on the bottom! It would be great to have a few in different colours and patterns.

  4. I love the fabric of the dress but also the stiffness of the fabric that holds its shape so well in the skirt. Perfect with the obi. Is it like dogs where you're supposed to ask permission before we get to touch the fabric?
