The Lost Outfit: Splatter Skirt with Yellow and Red (and Green Daisies)

Back to the grind! It was hard to go back to work and the craziness after having four straight days off, I tell ya.
Bright and light! It's hot here now (blink and it will be raining again, knock on wood).

My yellow cropped cardi gets another airing, recently worn here also with a full skirt.
This nice orange-y red sleeveless tank is a light sweatery material - good for layering but not as thin or underwear-y as a camisole. I last wore it here with swallows and a wool skirt (that makes me sweat just typing it).
I adored this splatter skirt in the August 2012 capsule (recap here) - I wore it twice, but of course, was limited to making it go with what was in the capsule. Interestingly, this yellow cardi and these lime shoes were in that capsule - AND I had a red tank in it! I'm going to consider this a "lost outfit" that I could have made but ran out of month.

The stuff:
Super comfy shoes - what am I going to do when these give out on me? It's not every day you find lime green suede shoes with a pointy toe and kitten heel (for $6.00!). I last wore them in August in the capsule (recap again here), in a total of 4 outfits.

My first wearing of this Sarah Coventry pin and clip-on earring set - I paid $8.00 for the set back here in November 2012 and have been hanging onto them, waiting for summery weather. I don't know - you just don't wear green daisies in the winter.

Cardigan (Peter Nygard, consignment), top (Jones New York, thrifted), skirt (handmade, thrifted), shoes (Circa Joan & David, thrifted), earrings/brooch set (vintage 70s, Sarah Coventry, thrifted).

  1. There are endless possibilities with any combo of clothes. I love the print on the shirt and I have to agree that this pair of shoes are wonderful.

  2. You don't find green shoes all that often period! I should know! I've been trying to add more comfortable, fun, funky green shoes to my collection to no avail. I adore your fabulous splatter skirt. The good thing about looking back on the capsules is you can now see all the potential that remains with ALL of your closet.
