What a crazy day - I'm exhausted, sore and tired. My bad shoulder (old aikido injury, plus all the stress of the past two weeks) is flaring up, and the corresponding pinched nerve is dancing needles up and down my arm. I'm currently sitting with a bag of frozen corn niblets strapped across my neck, following a good massage.
So, what do you do when you're feeling exhausted, sore and tired? You wear a dress!
I like Vizzini's attitude as he stalks off |
I liked it with the burgundy accents. Funny, how all my colours are alcoholic drinks today! The colour chartreuse is named after the French liqueur and burgundy is a type of wine.
The stuff:
And I wore my Senscha Teapot Fluevogs, last seen here in May with this same obi belt. I like a matchy shoe-belt combo.Sorry for the blurry.
Flower shapes are fun. The image in the ring reminds me of my friends.
Okay, going to lie down on the couch now.
Dress (Cici), shoes (Senscha Teapots, Fluevog), obi (locally made), beaded crochet flower (thrifted), earrings (locally made), ring (consignment).
Even your shoes are "drinkable". ;) I need to get more dresses similar to yours, they are really easy - and I've been chronically exhausted and sore. However I'm getting a ton of hours at work, so it's hard to be mad about it.
ReplyDeleteLove the colours together! I really hope you feel better soon, muscle pain can be so annoying sometimes.
ReplyDeleteLove these "drinkable" colors together, Sheila. The dress is simple and has a great cut, and you look fab. Now rest! : >
ReplyDeleteBeautiful dress.
ReplyDeleteOooh! pretty teapot shoes! I love that colour... I have two pairs of shoes in that colour! I don't tend to wear either that frequently, as if I do, I need to spend the evening on the couch with some corn niblets icing my knees and hips. Bodies are grumpy beasts that always affect clothing choices, aren't they!
ReplyDeleteI love these bold colours together. Lovely! And you can't go wrong with a gorgeous red obi.
ReplyDeleteHope your muscles loosen up quickly!
Ooh your accessories are very wine colored for sure! I like them though! I like the dress too, it's a good color on you. Sorry to hear you've feeling sore! Sounds like you're doing all the right things to make it better though! Hope you feel better soon!
ReplyDeleteI hope that your soreness goes away! Anyways, you can't go wrong with a dress.
ReplyDeleteLOL--I am wearing the same color combo today--except I call my green "olive"!!
ReplyDeleteThis is one of my fav color combos and i just adore your dress--it looks fabulous on you and is so versatile!!
Take care of your arm and get some rest!!
I like the sound of that word "chartreuse" it's fancy and sophisticated.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you, these two colors look so good together - hope your pain goes away soon.
When in pain I sleep!
Great colour combination, Sheila, and oh so matchy-matchy with the accessories, wonderful! Very smart and chic - as always!
ReplyDeleteHope your shoulder feels better soon. xxxx
Oh, hope your muscles are behaving themselves and you have caught up on sleep as the weekend approaches...
ReplyDeleteLove that green dress on you, it looks as comfy as it must be to wear, but also fits beautifully. Good work while tired out, I say xx
I COVET those shoes.
