However, there is a bit of Irish in there. I believe my dad's father's grandmother was Irish, so that would make me 1/16th Irish. Enough for me:
I have tons of green clothes, anyway.
Today, I hauled out the crap-tastic green boots. They were $10 on sale and kill my feet, not to mention the heels are not balanced right and my ankles are very wobbly in them. I've had them for oh, gosh, about 5-6 years, so they are one of the rare things I still have from when I was 188 lbs! I do recall that I couldn't get them all the way up my calves back then, so I scrunched them around my ankles.
This was a very comfy outfit (aside from the boots), although dang, that skirt is short!
The necklace is about as old as the boots - I used to have matching earrings, but they hurt my ears so I got rid of them.
The stuff:
On a side note, I am starting to get very excited about our trip to London and Paris! Eee! We're going in May. I have some special posts lined up for while I'm gone (they will be set to go up every few days). Excitement!
Sweater (Max Studio), cami (Esprit), skirt (Jacob, consignment), belt (don't remember), boots (The Bay), earrings (Plum, gift from L), necklace (Plum).
The skirt is sex-ay. Is the red hair hard to maintain? Some people say so...
ReplyDeleteOMG LOOK AT ALL THAT LEG!!!
ReplyDeleteWork it, Leggy McGee! You look killer.
I just love the fact they're called crap-tastic boots! Slainte!

Very cute! The boots at least look really awesome? Even if they're supper uncomfy. Happy St. Patty's day!

Sheila.... great legs !
OMG how exiting that you are planning a trip and specially to THOSE places wow!
Yay green boots! I did the very same thing yesterday. And I second Wendy - that is a fantastically sassy skirt.
ReplyDeleteCUTE St. Patty's Day outfit! And I concur with the other posters re: legs, gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteYou are totally rockin' the great legs thang! You look adorable. I like that the belt brings in an accent color.
ReplyDeleteHave you ever thought of taking the boots to a cobbler to see if they could make them more comfy? I know that they were only $10, so spending $ on them might seem goofy, but then they'd at least be better to wear!
(and if they were my boots, "cobbling" is something I'd probably always intend to do, but never actually get around to...)
I hope you had a great St. Pat's Day!
And your trip sounds SO wonderful! I can see why you're excited!
The green really suits your colouring :D
ReplyDeleteCC xXx
Wendy, nah, it's just that you have to dye it regularly (about every 5-6 weeks) and you have to dye your whole head because it fades out quickly. If you just do the roots, you end up with red roots and blonde-y ends. It's a bit hard on your hair, but if you get it trimmed regularly, you're good.
ReplyDeleteKristen, yes, I grew those legs all by myself! Ha!
Thanks, suzydirl, and I appreciate you commenting. Welcome!
Thanks, Megan! Yeah, they look good, but so cheap, so hard on the feet.
Lorena, you crack me up. I know! I'm so excited.
Sal, how cool! Like twins! Thanks!
Thanks, Sherylyn! You CAN wear miniskirts after 35...and 40!
Rita, thanks so much. Nah, it's totally not worth it to take them to a cobbler. They are really cheap rubbery material, they aren't balanced properly and they didn't cost much. For what I'd pay to make them even a little bit better, I'd rather buy a quality pair of boots. Great suggestion, though, thank you!
Candycane, thanks!
look at you, rockin that short skirt!
ReplyDeleteme-OW! ;)
You look fantastic in this outfit, and leggy, and just tiny :-D. I think perhaps it's the lack of layers?
ReplyDeleteI'm so excited you're coming to London I may have to jump on a train and wander the city trying to find you! Lol!
Ha, thanks, EvaNadine!
ReplyDeleteTat, thank you - maybe it is the lack of layers? Perhaps I will be really tiny come summer when it's hot? (Ooh, I hope so). You should! I would love to have lunch or something, just to say hello. :) I'm really very normal, haha.
