The New Skirt (and More Black)

So, there I was going on and on and on about this great skirt...

Check it out!
Ummm...yeah, that's a lot of black.

Okay, how about this?
Woo! That's more like it!

Can you see why I fell in love with this? I adore the colours, the fullness (it has a little crinoline with netting underneath it for extra pouf), the high waist.

I do think I could have done something more colourful with this (I was going to do purple tights, but they are in the wash), and definitely plan to. I haven't worn this jacket since this wardrobe challenge last December. Yikes!

Man, my hair looks awful today. I need a haircut, stat!

The stuff:
My lazy accessories: stinky boots (buckles!), wide belt (buckles!), black/silver ring and earrings.

And one more shot of the skirt's amazing fabric:

Jacket (Raindrops), top (Jacob, consignment), skirt (Le Chateau), belt (Jacob), tights (Hue), boots (eh, some cheapie brand), ring (Le Chateau), earrings (The Cobbler).

  1. I LOVE the modern floral and the colors are just amazing. Great find!

  2. Of course you had to get that skirt; it's stunning! Man, in your wardrobe you are going to find lots to wear with it too. Enjoy!

  3. Agreed. That skirt is pretty fab. I love the colors. They really look like the will transition well between multiple seasons.

  4. Oh yes indeed, I can see why you fell hard for that skirt!

  5. Such a cool skirt! Love the color scheme. Do you think it'll go with your yellow boots? (I'm obsessed with those boots).

  6. Thanks, Alison - yeah, I love the swooshy painty look of it.

Kristen, of COURSE I did! I know, I can't wait to mix it into all my colours.

Tina, thanks - yes, it'll be great in the spring.

Sal, it's so gorgeous, isn't it?

Jane, I thought of you when I saw it!

Thanks, Tanya! Yes, it does go with the yellow boots! Watch for an outfit with those.

    Thanks, Lorena!

  7. OMGosh, I want to steal that skirt from you, LOL. You look fantastic!!
