L said this looked "hippy-inspired", but that was not my intention. I just wanted to wear this skirt again.
As you can see, things are still chaotic, but now the floors are down! There are still a few things that have to be done and there is dust over everything, but the end is in sight. I will do a picture entry of the renos (there are many cat pictures, be warned) when everything is back in place.
Speaking of cats, Inigo was very interested in what was going on today, and blocked my shoes in the above shot.
Cat out of the way, shoes showing.
The stuff:
My awesome platform shoes, the top with the built-in embellishment, belt and wood jewelry (picking up the wood beading in the top).
Inigo is not a fan of the laminate floors; he prefers my carpeted closet (which needs cleaning out, jeez, I'm messy):
Aw!
Sheer tie-front cardigan (Guess), top (Nygard), skirt (Marc D'Alcy), belt (Plum), shoes (Le Chateau), earrings (gift from Mom), bracelet (Oscar & Libby's).
Ha, my cat jumped into my shots yesterday too; guess they both wanted to become internet-famous. LOL!
ReplyDeleteThat embellishment on the top is very cool.
Changing thins around the house is always messy, and usually cats and dogs freak out with it. But your cat is adorable.
ReplyDeleteI like the details on your outfit.
I love those shoes. So awesome! I'm glad the floors are almost done. Sometimes it can seem like you'll never get to the end so seeing the light at the end of the tunnel is such a welcome relief. I know the feeling! :)
ReplyDeleteEeep! A cat in a pile of shoes! It's like HEAVEN
ReplyDeleteAww, adorable cat pics! And another fab pair of shoes...would it be bad to say I totally want to raid your shoe and jewelry collection? :)
ReplyDeleteLove the belt and your kitty!
ReplyDeleteYou have the prettiest skirts, especially the one you wore on Monday! I love seeing your sweet kitty jump into the shot, too.
ReplyDeleteDo you prefer the Sookie Stackhouse books, or the True Blood series? I've only read the first book so far, and I haven't seen the series at all (though it's on my "to watch" list.)
Kristen, they're such funny things, aren't they? Inigo is such a ham. Thanks! That's what drew me to the top.
ReplyDeleteAlison, thank you! Yes, things are very chaotic - the living room is slowing being restored (cleaning as we go).
Yes, you're so right, Nurmisur - he'll get used to it, though. Thank you so much.
Kaylyn, me too! They are one of the last new pairs I got before my year-long "new" shopping ban. Yes, totally! It's going to feel so good when it's done.
I know, Sal, isn't it? I might have to make that my desktop.
Thanks for the compliment, watergirl! I have worked hard at my collections, finding unique pieces. And that's why I never discuss where I live...haha!
Thanks, Lesa!
Kari, thank you so much. I love a great pattern or cut. They are quite different in tone: the books are more mystery-based and don't have the same violent/erotic vibe as the show - and the storylines are quite different. I was expecting a main character to be killed at the beginning of Season 2 because of the 2nd book in the series. I would actually recommend both, because they are both great in their own way, but I think I prefer the TV show (the music and cinematography is excellent, which really adds a great element to it).
