Still taking advantage of the last couple of weeks of Casual Month at work to wear denim mid-week. It feels so decadent.
I basically built the outfit around the shoes: put them with the red dress...this needs a belt, then a jacket, then the earrings. I'm just dying with stiffness from my first aikido class last night, so forgive me for looking in pain above. I am!
A close-up of the new shoes (and a look at the texture of the sweater dress):
I was looking for a pair of shoes like this forever, and of course found them at Le Chateau for under $40. Crazy! I felt very chi-chi in my fishnets with these puppies on.
Dress (Kersh), jacket (Ann Taylor Loft), shoes (Le Chateau), belt (gift from Mom, London), earrings (Plum), fishnet tights (Hue).
Wow those shoes are beautiful - what a great find! I love knit dresses, so easy. And you styled it perfectly for Casual Month with that jacket!
ReplyDeleteLove the texture of the dress!
ReplyDeleteGreat find..! You make a fabulous outfit. Those shoes look perfect with your dress.
ReplyDeleteA great look all-around. Love the way you accessorized the dress!
ReplyDeleteTrace: thanks! I can always rely on Le Chateau for cheap knock-offs of designer.
ReplyDeleteLeigh-Anna: me too - that's what drew me to it (and the colour).
Eve: thanks, and welcome.
Love the denimi with the dress, I'm such a sucker for pairing a jean jacket with stuff like that -- awesome! And that red really is gorgeous on you :)
ReplyDeleteGreat Find! And if i lived in Canada, i'd totally steal your shoes :-D
ReplyDeleteAgain, I want to steal that dress. I like your idea of dress week. When the weather warms up, I am going to challenge myself to make every dress I own work appropriate.
ReplyDeleteThat colour is gorgeous on you.
ReplyDeleteAnd thank you so much for your lovely comment on my blog!
Happy New Year. :D
A xx
Kayleigh: Thanks! I was going to do a brown velvet jacket but felt it was too match-matchy. I adore tomato red - it's the best colour with my skin tone.
ReplyDeleteLady D: Not a chance! My shoes! Haha!
Cat: I am a dressaholic. I love them. I mean, I don't really need 39 dresses, do I? Well, uh, yeah, I do! What of it?
Andrea: Thank you so much!
