Best Intentions

After a few martinis (and maybe some wine), I woke up very dozy and achy on Saturday morning. I fully intended to go to Weight Watchers, since it was the launch of the new program for my Saturday group, but I got up an hour late and by the time I clued in that I was an hour late...I was far too late.

So I went for lunch with L and the guys anyway:

I first wore this top here. The long-sleeved tee is new from Dots.

My supposed hangover got worse and worse as the day went on...and my throat got sore, and my sinuses stuffed up. Dang, I'm actually sick!

Today, I was planning to go to Lawrence and Carollyne's Christmas Cake party as I do every year (outfit from 2009 here and 2008 here). However, the gift of the flu is not a very welcome one.

It's back to riding the couch and watching football for me!

Edit: in my addled brain state, I accidently deleted comments from A-Dubs, Knitwit, Megan, and at least 2 other people - so sorry, guys!

Blouse (Casual Freedom), tee (Kersh), skirt (Bebe, swap), shoes (Expressions, consignment).

  1. I'm sorry you're sick-- but you looked great, anyway. I just love the asymetrical stitching on that skirt.

    Feel better soon!

  2. Nothing worse than being sick on a weekend. I finally succumbed to the nasty cold making the rounds at my work this weekend - starting on my birthday no less. I hope we both get better soon! Too many fun events this time of year that I don't want to miss.

  3. I love the faux-catsuit look of the matching long sleeved shirt and tights. Slick, not sick!

  4. No kidding, Charlotte! It sucks. I am fighting it, though.

    Thanks, Kelly!

  5. So are you still attending meetings now that you are a leader? I would love to hear what you think about the new program. I really think it's a lot healthier but I hate that I can't calculate points in my head anymore. But that's my only complaint. It's a great revamp, I think.

  6. Tina, well, I tried to, and I do intend to keep going - as I'll be mostly WW at Work, I'd like to see how the "pros" do their presentations! I also have to still get weighed in once a month. I may do a small post on what I think of the new program. Thanks for your comment, Tina!

Sorry the hangover turned into a cold. Those are the worst.
