Fortunately, I'd cleverly planned for this - a bright printed top! No one will even look at me!
- Blouse - Just Cavalli, consignment; last seen here (3rd outfit) in September 2022 with white jeans for Winesday
- Skirt - Danier Leather, thrifted; purchased here for $19.95
- Shoes - Go Groovy Aubrey, Fluevog; last worn here in April with my rainbow skirt
- Cape - Dafydd Snowdon Design, vintage 70s, thrifted; last seen here in March
And this top needs a "blank" bottom, so this was an excellent time to debut this new-to-me thrifted pencil skirt.
The top is fancy - a real designer! It's a snakeskin print with random "Just Cavalli" written here and there. I adore the big swooshy sleeves!
They are why this top is in the spring/summer collection - it doesn't work with a coat. Those wings are attached all the way to the hem.

The skirt was lovey, as I'd expected. I liked the feel of the leather inserts.
Why have a plain black skirt when you can have panels of black leather?

Outerwear - incognito!
This cape covered my arms enough, but now we are back to our "regular" temps of the mid-teens - that 10 degree drop sure felt chilly! I'd better go back to real coats again!

How did I ever live without orange shoes?
Orange and turquoise in my outfit? This scarf was just meant to go with it!
- Purse - Rebecca Minkoff, consignment
- Silk scarf - Vera, vintage, thrifted; purchased here for $6.95
- Leather gloves - vintage, thrifted
How did I ever live without orange shoes?
Am intrigued by the top because with the button down front and collar it gives a first appearance of being like every other button down with collar if not for those sleeves! I like that the stitching goes all along the inner sides. Very interesting design.
ReplyDeleteThe skirt fits perfectly and looks super. How is walking and sitting in it?
Cheers, Laurie
I like the high-end designer stuff because of cool details like that, Laurie. The skirt is great - the bulk of it is a very thick stretchy fine knit, so lots of give.
DeleteI'm hearing you, having had a Tuesday start myself!
ReplyDeleteTotally swooning over that orange snakeskin print winged blouse, which looks absolutely fabulous with the classy skirt, silver and turquoise ring and orange shoes!
The difference in temperature must have been a shock to the system! xxx P.S. Thanks for the links, I'll definitely check them out!
You're obviously on an orange trip at the moment and who could blame you! Love the winged blouse!
ReplyDeleteThat Cavalli blouse is a thing of beauty! Those turquoise jewels need to be in my collection! xxx
ReplyDeleteThat blouse is beautiful! I love hot its a bit blouse, a bit cape, and absolutely beautiful on you! Our weather is a bit crazy at the moment - winter is just a week away I guess, but it's dropping to single digits overnight which isn't normal autumn at all. It means I'm all layered up for the school run in the mornings, and I've shed all the layers by lunchtime, when it's back up to the 20s, haha!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE details of clothes like that! ORAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANGE Wingsss!!!
ReplyDeleteYou styled it to perfection!x
