Pink, Pleated Blossoms and Sparklies

I always look forward to wearing this gorgeous Swoosh Factor 11 skirt.
And yet it still took me three months into my spring/summer season to get to it!

  • Blazer - Brooks Brothers, thrifted; last worn here in June 2022 with shades of blue
  • Top - Ted Baker, consignment; last seen here in April in a spaced-out ensemble
  • Skirt - BCBG Max Azria, consignment; last worn here in August 2022 for a Mom-Day at Cadboro Bay
  • Shoes - Fast Cars Mille Miglia, Fluevog; last seen here earlier this month with cropped velvet trousers

So many clothes, so little time!
My colleague Sheila (two Sheilas! Astounding!) was wowed by this outfit - I did spin and swoosh for her.

It's a full circle of pleated pink, green and navy blue. It always reminds me of blossoms.
It goes really well with the jacket - they've been paired together before (here, in April 2020, featuring some familiar accessories, including a cat!).

The blazer/jacket is my favourite shade of pink (after PANK).
I spy a green shoe peeking out!

Incognito.
"This skirt smells delicious."

He's doing well, and loving the warmer weather. Still a little monkey who gets into everything.

Accoutrements:
I took the gloves off halfway home.

  • Silk scarf - Smoking Lily, c. 1998, thrifted
  • Leather gloves - consignment

The stuff:
The shoes matched so well! Love this colour.

Sparkly bling:
So many sparklies! Must wear them all.

  • Necklace (earrings not worn) - Sherman, vintage 50s, thrifted
  • Brooch/earrings - vintage 50s, Gram S's
  • Green crystal bracelet - vintage 60s, Mom's
  • Gold/pink stone bracelet - D'Orlan, vintage 70s, gift from L
  • Green crystal ring - vintage 70s, Mom's
  • Silver/amethyst ring - vintage mall

Okay, Vizzini, I have time for one more cuddle and then I have to go.
"Go??"

  1. Seems that, like our Bess, Vizzini is a cheeky monkey indeed :-) And TWO Sheila's? Oh dear!
That skirt really does have a serious swoosh factor. Gorgeous colours too, perfectly picked up by the jacket and shoes.
My mind boggles at you wearing gloves again after having experienced your first heatwave of the year ... xxx

  2. Great outfit! Love the skirt and the incredible sparkly, blue necklace. Also love the look on Vizzini's face in the last picture.

  3. Vizzini's pretending he's not enjoying that cuddle but I think we all know that he is!
The lime shoes with that swishy skirt are utterly perfect and the dusky rose pink is beautiful. xxx

    TWO Sheilas!
Ha, that's like there are TWO Kerenzas in my orchestra! The other one is the Chair of the orchestra!
Your blossom skirt is one of my favourites, esp with that jacket! xx

  5. I do love this maxi skirt on you too and it is so perfect with the blazer! I really like how well everything coordinates with this skirt, you have the best eye for picking pieces that compliment everything you wear :)

  6. One of my favourite skirts. The shoes are a dream with it. And the jacket is such a good fit and colour with the skirt. The things you find... (and know how to combine). I take my hat off to you.
