Everyone is on vacation, both at work and in the blogosphere, and things are really quiet. I'm good with that, as it's a good time to recharge the ol' batteries.
It was a good time to wear this skirt again too. I apparently got the "blue memo" as it seemed like everyone in the office today was also wearing blue. Monday blues!- Sweater - Gap, thrifted; purchased here for $8.50
- Skirt - JS, consignment; first worn here in April with more black and white
- Shoes - Marc Jacobs, vintage, thrifted; last seen here in June with a black dress
Despite the dearth of people at work, I still had oodles of comments on this funky, sparkly fox sweater.
A few of my colleagues referred to me as the Silver Fox today, heh heh.
I know! I'm wearing a sweater in August, but it just has not been that warm this year. I can handle a sweater when it's only 21 degrees.
I love this skirt - another maxi!
I had to wear it with the matching shoes.
How often do you find a pair of those that match a garment so perfectly?
The stuff:
Such fun footwear! The ribbed sides are molded suede. These are surprisingly comfortable.
Bold bling:
Simple, unfussy shapes.
- Cuff - vintage fair
- Lapis lazuli ring/ Fulvia Ring - Wendy Brandes
- Earrings - local
This morning when I went out to do my stair picture, I spotted the teenaged seagulls on the neighbouring apartment building's roof.
They're a sullen-looking lot, rather dingy and grey, not quite gotten their grown-up crisp white feathers yet. Ah, teenagers!
Hi Sheila— I think you are the lovely one who adds so much to my blog with her great comments. Nice to find where you are in the blogosphere!
ReplyDeleteI am she, Michelle, and thank you so much for dropping by.
DeleteI'm loving this maxi skirt with its fab graphic design and totally agree that you had to wear those matchy shoes! (I'm a huge fan of matchy shoes). And the sweater looks perfect with it, such a great combo!. Totally cool!
ReplyDeletebesos
I know, right? Matchy for the win! Thanks so much, Monica!
DeleteLove that maxi skirt and how well everything in your outfit coordinates Sheila! You know I have a soft spot for blue too :)
ReplyDeleteThank you, Mica! I know you love blue - I do too.
DeleteWhat a fabulous Mondrian-esque maxi! I love it. the fox jumper is adorable.
ReplyDeleteTalking of adorable I love the sullen teenage seagulls, got to love a grumpy animal! x
It's cool, isn't it, Vix? Thank you!
DeleteWe have teenaged crows lurking around too. :)
That skirt and those shoes are a match made in heaven, and how cute is that fox jumper! I'm loving that amazing cuff too! Being sullen is the prerogative of juveniles, even when they're seagulls! xxx
ReplyDeleteI knew I'd wear them together the minute I bought the skirt! I love the jumper - such a cute fox. The cuff was a cheapie, just elastic and tiles.
DeleteI agree, ha ha!
Everything is matched beautifully :) That skirt is a work of art.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Lorena! I love the unusual pattern of the skirt.
DeleteAnother surprising outfit. You are predictably unpredictable. :)
ReplyDeleteYou could say I'm surprisingly predictable? Ha!
DeleteThe best of match match
ReplyDeleteYou know I love my matchy matchy!
DeleteAre you're teenage seagulls making that awful squeaky-door-like call for food all the time? Our neighbour has one on their roof at present and it's incessant! I suppose it'll be worse when it starts it's young adult honking though!
ReplyDeleteYes! They are not quite away from their parents yet, Helen, and making an awful ruckus. The teenage crows are also all over the place.
DeleteSuch a great graphic outfit! I'm a big fan of that shade of blue worn with black and grey. You are a stone cold Fox!
ReplyDeleteThank you! Ha! Love it!
DeleteOh, this level of matching gives me much joy. The skirt really is wonderful.
ReplyDeleteMe too! I do love matching! Thanks!
