Ah, I feel like I'm back to normal. It felt weird putting on my "regular" make-up after that 30s look on Friday and yesterday's Hallowe'en face.
There were a few jokes at the office today about me being back to my "usual boring stuff" of beige, grey, black wardrobe. Yeah, my coworkers know me pretty well! Colour!
- Velvet blazer - Jacob, thrifted; purchased here for $8.50
- Fruital blouse - no label, thrifted; last seen here (2nd outfit) under a purple suede dress
- Skirt - Club Monaco, thrifted; last worn here in March (one of my favourite outfits)
- Shoes - Poetic Licence; last seen here in August with mint wings
First wearing of this new-to-me velvet blazer - I just adored the deep teal/emerald green of it. I like the skinny sleeves too.
The blouse is my basic fruital one (if flowers are floral, then fruit is...fruital, right?). It has all the colours I like.

Gorgeous play of colours in this outfit. I looked at your other outfit with this skirt, which was stunning, but I really like this outfit too. That blouse pulls it all together. Always inspiring, Sheila!

Everything works so perfectly together :) I may have said this before (and I might have even said it last time you wore this same skirt, ha!) but I need to hunt out my skirts like this again. They are somewhere in the "after baby" section of my wardrobe which was half packed up for a move that didn't happen in the end.

DeleteI just thrifted a teal velvet blazer ($17--you got the better deal!). Mine is a touch bluer than yours, I think. The color is surprisingly versatile--goes with everything. I like your narrow sleeves and higher armholes. Sleek!

Nice, velma! That is still a rockin' deal for a velvet blazer. I love velvet jackets, and any velvet, period. The skirt is polyester, nylon and "metallic" with an acetate lining (and pockets!). Ack, I did not even know Klingon turquoise existed! Must have!
DeleteKlingon! :-) I meant Kingman turquoise from the famous mine in Arizona. It is usually sky blue or greenish with bronze inclusions. Gorgeous. Not cheap.
