Last day! I am on vacation now, until the 4th! Many adventures to be had, and one must start now.
I like this 70s/80s vibe thing.- Blouse - Levante, thrifted; first worn here in October with plaid
- Dress - Le Chateau, consignment; purchased here for $29.00 in November
- Shoes - Ralph Lauren, thrifted; last seen here in September with leopard and cream
I was excited to wear this dress finally! I picked a day when not many people were around - it was so dead today at work! I really loved how this looked with the blouse layered under it.
The red on the bottom under the dress is a vintage half-slip that goes to my knees.
The stuff:
I walked to lunch (not raining) and back to the office (pouring rain) in these shoes.
Folksy bling:
This metal belt was a gift from Mom from London years ago.
- Belt - gift from Mom
- Earrings - Plum
I am now off to wrap presents! Wishing you all a very happy Christmas! I'm taking a brief break - I'll be back on the weekend.
Cheers,
Sheila
Cute dress, well presented. Enjoy your time off, Sheila, and Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteI love this! I have often bypassed these crochet dresses but now I have Sheila-inspired goals. Enjoy the break and celebrate as you most enjoy. xox

Fantastic ensemble! I just love the way that layering colour under a crocheted piece brings its pattern out, redolent a touch of stained glass windows (to me at least :)).
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for all of your terrific blog comments this year. I appreciate and have enjoyed each and every one of them. I really look forward to continuing to enjoy one another's sites in 2016 and who knows, perhaps we'll even get a chance to meet in person in the coming year (how cool would that be!).
Tons of hugs & happy holiday season wishes!
♥ Jessica
What a knock out dress, Sheila. Love it styled with the belt and that big floppy bow of the blouse.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas to you.

It took me a while to come around to the charms of crocheted dresses and now I love them. I like the red underneath this one. I'm glad the office was quiet so you could segue into down time.
ReplyDeleteCelebrate away!
So, yet another new idea for me today. I've never considered a crochet dress as they have confounded me when on the hanger. But this is a masterclass on how to. You look classic, chic and utterly elegant. Hope you've enjoyed your time away from work and look forward to catching up with you in 2016 x
