Red Argyle and Black Sequins

L and I are headed out to see the new Star Wars movie - I am a HUGE fan, so I'm fangirling all over the place. Now! I want to see it now! 
Oh, and I did wear a lot of red today.


  • Blazer - Harve Bernard, thrifted; first seen here in April with much 80s
  • Top (not very visible) - Plum, consignment; first worn here earlier this month with burgundy and houndstooth
  • Skirt - J. Crew, thrifted; last seen here in September 2014 with aqua and orange and white

And sequins! I'm shocked that it's been over a year since I wore this skirt - last time, I complained that the little plastic rectangular sequins tore up the back of my (bare) legs. This time, I'm complaining that they made the back of my knees all bally - my tights are not ruined, but I'll be wearing a longer skirt with them from now on.
The tights are cool. I like a funky leg.

    It's a shame that the skirt wasn't so kind to your tights, as they are lovely tights and a lovely skirt. It's never fun when something so pretty and fun to wear turns out to be so impractical!

    Loved the tights!
    I went to see the Starwars film over the weekend and I cannot tell you how I felt at the beginning when the text began appearing on the screen, or the feeling of the music.. and when I saw Han Solo it was like I had not seen my long lost friends in years.... :) Hope you enjoyed the film.

    Oooooh, love those argyle tights! You have a fabulous pair of pins already but they look even more fabulous in these.
    I know exactly what you mean about the skirt. I always think sequins look great but I find they snag on EVERYTHING - well they always do when I wear them!
    Hope the movie lived up to your expectations!

    I love a pair of funky tights too, and those are very cool! I have a sequinned jacket that I rarely wear, but when I do, the damn things catch on everything.

    Oh Sheila, you know how I love patterned tights, but pairing with a sequinned skirt is something I've yet to try! To be inspired by other's creativity, ah, it's grand. I too had a skirt which messed up every pair of tights, until I finally had to admitted defeat and gave it away.
