Mish-Mash and Bandage Shoes

I need sunshine, but got rain. I started from scratch last night and tried to build an outfit that would make me feel sunny.
Step 1: Yellow!

  • Coat - Danier, consignment; last seen here in September with leather and teal
  • Blouse - Daniel Rainn, swap from Caro; last worn a week ago here with w(h)ine
  • Shoes - Listen Up O'Hara, Fluevog; last worn here (3rd outfit) in December 2013 for my company's Christmas party

Step 2: Funky coat. The fact that I've only worn this coat once before is shameful. It's awesome to wear. A little limiting on what to wear with it, due to the odd colours, but I was happy with matching the yellow, the blue and the wine colour in it with the polka dot blouse and the deep blue cabled tights.

And look at me, all pattern-mixing like crazy. Okay, it's a mish-mash, I'm fine with it.
Step 3: Amazing shoes. They remind me of bandages around my ankles. No "stuff" shot as these shoes don't stand up on their own, but they are pretty sweet, aren't they? Not the greatest shoes for running errands (I changed back into my regular runners to go out and buy Valentine's candy for the office), but fabulous nonetheless.

Speaking of fabulous, thank you for all of your sweet, kind and understanding comments about my "mojo-lessness". I'm going to roll with it, hang on till the weekend and party my ass off on Saturday night in a killer dress. And hope for more sun.

  1. That yellow skirt is bright and cheerful enough to make anyone feel sunny!

Even if it hasn't made you feel any better, it's great you have Saturday night to look forward to to get you through the rest of the week!

Your post has made me think too, if I was dressing to cheer myself up everyday, what would I wear? And for the stuff I wouldn't wear, maybe it shouldn't stay in my wardrobe!

  3. I have a yellow skirt which I love to wear, it definitely makes me feel happier especially in Winter. Also, one of my favourite looks is coloured tights with open toed neutral shoes. I just love the whole look head to toe. Gorgeous shoes!!
