The chillier weather continues, so in I delved to the closet for another outfit that would have been too hot in the er...heat.
I had a few "Kung Fu Fighting" comments at work today on this, to which I replied, "Hai!" and did a high kick. Because that's what crazy 46-year-olds do, right? My haircut is noticeable here. We may be doing a little shaving on the shorter side next time (nervous, but excited).
My pensive pose |
Spooky! I love fog.
This is the second wear of my lovely brocade blue Chinoiserie jacket, last seen here in June.
I'm a little foggy in the mornings too |
I love these satin tux trousers. I last wore them here in July the day after I got my hair cut. Coincidences abound!
The stuff:
I was going to wear black kitten heels, but I liked the shiny shiny of the bronze better. I last wore these here in July with frozen leopard. They are a good foil for black.
The stuff:
I remembered the rings today!
Jacket (no label, thrifted), trousers (handmade, thrifted), shoes (Modern Vintage, thrifted), leather obi (consignment), earrings (Aldo Accessories), lapis lazuli ring and Fulvia ring (Wendy Brandes).
The Winesday/MANsday crew is going out tomorrow night to an art opening, so I'll be back on Sunday with a bigass weekend wrap-up, but check in over the weekend for Shoe Shine! It opens bright and early Saturday morning! Have an awesome weekend!
Oh, I like the pensive pose.
ReplyDeleteYou know I have a weakness for Chinoiserie so I love this jacket. And your hair is fantastic! Shaving? Yes, be bold. But wait, you already are bold...
Love that jacket, so elegant. I don't usually do high necklines either, but there's something about that cheongsam/mandarin look that's very appealing so I'll make an exception! Your hair looks great. xxx
ReplyDeleteI don't like high necks either, but I really like this one. Love the whole martial arts (but peaceful!) vibe. Have a wonderful weekend.
ReplyDeleteIt's been cool here too, and have had to layer up the last few days. That's a great jacket and I envy your collection of obi belts. Have fun at the art opening.
ReplyDeleteI like how the shoes pickup the sheen in the top. This is quite a different look for you, but you carry it off with flare!
ReplyDeleteYes, shave the hair...come on over to the dark side! :-D XO JJ
Chinoiserie is such a beautiful word, and it always describes something equally beautiful - like that jacket! I bet it feels gorgeous to wear, and it's perfect with sleek pants and flat shoes. Your pensive pose is poignant, with the fog and potentially haunted castle in the distance...
ReplyDeleteI love foggy days too…
ReplyDeleteI think you look so elegant here, the Chinoiserie jacket is so tasteful.
