Woo! We on the West coast are having a heatwave! It is currently 22 degrees (that's around 76 for those of you on that Other Scale), which is sweltering summer weather for us. I am not complaining.
But I will definitely not be wearing nylons tomorrow! This is another not-planned outfit, so I fell back on some old favourites (I wore this top and skirt combo in the April 2012 capsule wardrobe here). One of my most favourite of my thin sweaters is this bat-wing (swoosh!) teal sweater, last seen nearly a year ago (what?!) here, in May 2013 with green culottes.
I last wore this fabulous Noa Noa skirt here in July 2013 while being a lemon-lime lady.
You can see the awesome painted gold design there - isn't that cool? This was a sample piece that I bought at Dots a few years ago. I stopped in there on the weekend with my mother-in-law, but I was quite disappointed in the Noa Noa samples. Ah well, not like I shop retail anymore anyway! Second-hand first, baby!
The stuff:
Big honkin' clodhopper shoes, but I love them. I last wore them here (last outfit) with a floofy skirt and stripes earlier this month.
Yar, there be dragon bling here, me hearties!
One of my coworkers is a lapidarist, so I asked him what the stones were - he said they are probably green agate. Cool.
L bought me this vintage (probably 1930s) necklace and bracelet for my birthday last year.
I love the dragons!
Sweater (Kenneth Cole Reaction, consignment), skirt (Noa Noa), shoes (Fly London), necklace/bracelet (vintage '30s, gift from L).
I love the colours of your outfit, the shoes and the dragon bling! And yes, it sure is gorgeous weather. I had bare legs with my skirt today and was not cold at all!
ReplyDeleteI love the dragons too! And the combination of teal and gold is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteYou have our warm weather, it seems - ours has gone and been replaced with rain... No more bare legs for me! xxx
Love the teal top with that skirt, such a nice pairing! :) You can't even tell the difference between your planned and unplanned outfits (other than you calling them out) as you always look really put together.
ReplyDeleteI really like this color combination, and I love a batwing top (swoosh). You are almost as warm as Florida! xox
ReplyDeleteYou look great in teal and that top has a gorgeous shape to it.
ReplyDeleteThat jewelry is amazing - wow! We might hit 90 degrees today!!! I need to get my legs tanned.
ReplyDeleteAwesome color combination - I may steal this idea, I have a similar colored short sleeve sweater, never thought to pair it with gold/yellow - but I'm going to now!
ReplyDeleteReally gorgeous color combo. Love your entire outfit!
ReplyDeleteLove this skirt with a passion.
ReplyDeleteI love it when I learn something related to an item I have, how cool that you got to know more about your necklace.
ReplyDeleteThese colours look amazing together.
I fell in love with this outfit: the colors, the textures, the shapes and specially dragon bling. Brava!
