And...Tuesday. A quickie for y'all again - sorry, I'm going to try to get around an visit all the new commenters soon! - due to my WW meeting pick-up in oh, 20 minutes. I can do it!
Yes, the debut of my lovely "lace" skirt that my mother-in-law Louise bought me on the weekend (here).Review: I wish it was leather! Of course, it has a bit of stretch, but it's very delicate and yeah, some of the hem bits have already ripped. I was trying to be really careful with it all day, but I might have to do a strategic trim of the hemline to make it look nice again. Gah.
"I love you! Stay home and play with me!" |
"Or I could meander off to the deck to meow at crows." |
The stuff:
Lovely orange shoes! I love how orange and blue just pop together, don't you? I last wore these sweet heels a couple of weekends ago here (last outfit) for Easter at Mom's. I'm so tempted to get these in another colour - a lot of them are on sale...yellow would be awesome...
Big copper bling:
All vintage copper, with my Wendy Brandes lapis lazuli ring.
Blouse (I. Magnin, thrifted), skirt (Lord & Taylor), shoes (Big Presence Desmond, Fluevog), necklace/cuff (vintage 70s), earrings/cuff (Renoir, vintage 60s, Grandma J), ring (Wendy Brandes).
I was a little nervous about wearing my new orange lippy today, my MAC "Morange" that I got on the weekend.
My "stuff" is all still lying on the table - gotta put it back on now! |
Pretty outfit. The shoes are special. Orange lippy looks good on you. I admit to lots of trepidation wearing that the first time.
ReplyDeleteThe skirt looks great but oh dear, it's delicate? That would be a big problem for me, since I am the opposite of delicate! Orange and blue are a great combination, and matching one's shoes and lipstick shows real skill! xxx
ReplyDeleteThat orange lippy looks great on you! Especially with the blue top :)
ReplyDeleteAnd that white skirt is beautiful, such a nice design even if it is tricky to wear as it doesn't hold up well!
I really like the look of the skirt. Thanks for the explanation of "iron" - I have seen them in the big stores but they baffled me : 0
ReplyDeleteI vote yes on the orange lippy!
Love the lipstick and the skirt. I introduced my daughter to the iron just yesterday. It is set up in her room and yet she wasn't sure how to get wrinkles out of her work shirt. Weird.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if there is a way to do a hem facing on the bottom of the skirt with something lightweight but strong enough to reinforce" it?
love the lippy color..and the skirt is fabulous love the whole look!
ReplyDeleteLovely lace skirt and I love the orange shoes and orange lips!!
ReplyDeleteMy iron and I have become reacquainted as I've gotten Spring clothes out.
ReplyDeleteI love warm weather but cotton seems to involve an iron more often.
My suggestion is to let it fray and make it part of the design! but that probably isnt for everyone :-) Vinyl is so fragile compared with leather. Love the lippy, but i know what you mean about yellowing teeth. and your shoes are consistently heavenly. Sigh!
ReplyDeleteOoh, what a lovely lipstick color on you! Thanks for the warning about the teeth, though. I'll be avoiding it for that reason. >.>
ReplyDeleteSheila this skirt looks even better on the model ….what an amazing garment!
ReplyDeleteIt just looks so perfect, it's impeccable ! you can wear this to a wedding - I mean this has got to be my new favourite garment of yours.
