Fluevog Week! Prepared for Sunshine

Arg, even though I had Monday off, today felt like...a Monday. There is no sun out, and it keeps trying to rain. Blah!
Not blah? Me! In lots and lots of yellow! I've decided to do a Fluevog Week, both to revisit some of my favourite pairs, and to show off my new ones.

First yellow: my lemon yellow cardigan, which last appeared here a couple of weeks ago with my rainy floral skirt.
I wore it layered over my new-to-me dress, just purchased this past weekend (here, in case you missed it) for $40 on consignment. It's too chilly still to have bare arms.
The skirt of the dress is bias-cut, so it has that nice flowy movement when I walk. It also has a deep yellow/mustard lining (you can see a bit of it in the top picture).

Here's the dress on me without the cardigan. I took it off whenever I did my sets of stairs today - I didn't want to get sweaty.
Vizzini's trying to bite the hem of my dress!
I love the simple shape of this dress - I did wear a mustard cami underneath it to cover up the cleavage.

The stuff:
My gorgeous yellow Fluevogs were purchased on our anniversary trip last year. I am very fortunate that L buys me shoes that he personally hates! I last wore these here (2nd outfit) in November 2013.

Colourful bling:
This necklace matches my dress perfectly! All the colours!

Cardigan (no label, thrifted), dress (Club Monaco, consignment), shoes (Prepare High Steady, Fluevog), necklace (Oscar & Libby's), earrings (vintage), spinner ring (Twang & Pearl).

  1. O, pretty pretty pretty! I do love bias cut, but it hugs me in all the wrong places.....With a bit of a squint, this lovely outfit seems like leopard print, as it is using the same gorgeous colour range!
    Ah, Fluevog joy!!!
Vizzini, the little nippy beast! Reminds me, it's cold enough for our Peepers to get under the blankets some nights now, and when she does, if she gets between my legs, she gives me the fist in the you-know-what.

  2. That dress is the most perfect shape. I would want a ton of them in all sorts of fabrics and colours. You are sunshine personified!

  3. Ha, laughing at Helga and her naughty under-the-blankets kitty! (Oh you KNOW I wanted to say pussy, don't you?!)
Anyway - back to you and your fabulous frock. The mustard and yellow are divine, and yes, the shoes and necklace work perfectly, don't they? I'm with Helga actually, I avoid bias cut skirts and dresses, they make my arse look enormous (although I think it was Desiree who recommended going up a size to get of that particular problem.) You have no such issues, the dress fits and flatters you very well. xxxx

  12. I am still getting over the fact that "L buys me shoes that he literally hates..."
