Toughed-Up Teal and the Peacock Jacket

No new things in today's outfit - I'm staying on mission to cover my Rifflandia festival wristband until Friday.

I hadn't yet worn my Peacock Jacket yet, and it requires some planning, and I've been lazy about playing in my closet.

  • Leather jacket - id. Collection, vintage 90s, thrifted, customized by me; last seen here in April 2022 for a Mental Health Shop
  • Sweater - Bellissima, consignment; last worn here in March with leopard and leather
  • Skirt - Danier Leather, thrifted; last seen here in May with orange wings
  • Shoes - Asos, consignment; last worn here in August for a Mom-Day and the Barbie movie

I tend to wear plain things with it, but even my non-patterned clothes need to be a little extra.
I love this stretchy teal thin sweater - why isn't there more of this colour around? Everyone looks good in teal.

I toughed it up with this black leather/mix skirt.
It has two soft leather panels on the sides and leather trim around the back zip

I'm proud of the work I did on this jacket.
The gold's faded but the colour is still good.

I only took it off when I arrived at work, glowing from the stairs.
It's rather "meh" without the jacket.

Incognito.
My silk Ed Hardy scarf adds to the rock & roll vibe.

The stuff:
It's quite chilly in the mornings - I'm looking forward to getting back into scarf season.

  • Scarf - Ed Hardy by Christian Audigier, vintage 90s, consignment
  • Necklace - Stella & Dot, thrifted
  • Chain ring - Mexican, consignment
  • Fulvia Ring - Wendy Brandes

The shoes are everything I love.

  1. Me and a friend wandered around Urban Outfitters yesterday. Guess what's new for Autumn? Ed Hardy in all its rhinestone encrusted gaudiness - we're on trend with our secondhand dresses we bought in the Summer, aren't we?
Love that peacock jacket, its great to see it again. xxx

  2. Jacket makes the outfit, hands down! Quite something to know that the jacket didn’t come to you with the peacock…you designed and hand painted it. It’s a testament to your artistry.

    Cheers, Laurie
PS I finally wore my favorite dress (which I feared my tastes had outgrown) and a neighbor said I looked like fun. So, in a tip of the hat to you, this dress will now be known as the fun dress.

    1. Thanks, Laurie - I like letting it shine. I did wear the leather jacket when it was just plain - but I like it all decorated better. Thank you so much.

Oh, I LOVE that you wore your favourite dress and got such a positive reaction to it. The Fun Dress! Woo! I realized last night I have not worn my Laurie Dress yet - that will have to be rectified soon!

  4. How lovely to see your peacock jacket again, Sheila, and you're right about teal garments being in short supply! I had to think of you earlier today when I spotted a girl wearing a pair of Ed Hardy trousers on the tram! xxx
