Chrysanthemums and Brocade

Crazy day, gotta rush.
Pow! In your face, Autumn, you rusty wench! I'm still gasping at summer's straws.

I love this cream jacket. The brocade texture is just gorgeous. I still marvel that it's Le Chateau (a Canadian mall store, very trendy, been around forever). I last wore it here (way down at the bottom, with the fur hat) in April. It's been too hot for most of the summer to wear jackets, but they are good on the "shoulder" seasons of late spring/early fall.
I keep this jacket in rotation all year long. The little yellow top is a thrifted sleeveless sweater/tank. I last wore it here (3rd outfit) in July with my splatter skirt. It also stays out all year round.

I know, the skirt is amazing, like UH-MAY-ZING.
"I like it too! I'd like to bite that zipper on the back"
I've had it for a few years, and I just love it. My coworkers always rave about it, but come on, yellow, pink and purple chrysanthemums on deep magenta satin? Winner! I don't wear it a ton (I'm worried about wrecking it! It's too pretty to wreck!), so last time was here in April with my chicken blouse. It gets packed away for fall/winter.

The stuff:
I have to put it all back on shortly, and go to my other job at WW, so I didn't unpin the flower brooch from my jacket. The shoes are getting a little worn, but lavender shoes must never leave me! I last wore them here in August.

Girly bling:
Nothing special, but everything special to me. I'm loving my new pinky spinner ring.

Jacket (Le Chateau, consignment), top (Cable & Gauge, thrifted), skirt (Vivienne Tam, consignment), shoes (Camper), flower (Roberta's Hats), earrings (Le Chateau), spinner ring (local), amethyst ring (gift from Mom & Dad, mid-80s).

I nearly forgot - Shoe Shine is on this Friday!
See you there!

  2. Another one in agreement here - the skirt is fantastic. Colours, print, fabric - all great! And it works beautifully with the brocade jacket. xxx

  3. Brocade is close to my heart and this particular jacket reminds me of one I own and will make an effort to wear this week.
Whenever I look at your outfits I always notice that you accessorise, you'd be caught dead without rings and earrings, I can SOOOO relate to that.
