Well, the weekend is nearly at an end, but it's a short week. L and I both chilled this weekend, and didn't even leave the house on Sunday!
Here we go - Saturday.
It's been a little overcast and hazy the past few days, with a little bit of sun here and there. It's nice not to have it be boiling hot - I'm trying not to push autumn too hard. I'm going to wring out every last drop of summer I can!And so, another wear of this light chambray denim dress, this time to the Ulty field over my sports bra.
I last wore it here a couple of weeks ago (in August - feels weird now that it's September!) layered over a skirt.
We had a fairly short game, and my team won! I made a great one-handed left-handed catch that I then threw to Karen in the endzone for the win! Woo!
Post-game, we had brunch at the diner, then L and I battled the Ancient One in a couple of games of "Arkham Horror". We won once.
The stuff:
I didn't have time to do my toes but I would have done them turquoise to match my accessories! I love putting these pewter sandals on after my feet have been crammed into cleats. They were last seen here (3rd outfit, with the lavender vintage dress) on the August long weekend, a much busier long weekend, that was!
Circular bling:
That's a Brave belt (I mean, it's the brand) that I thrifted for cheap about a year ago.
Dress (no label, consignment), shoes (Enzo Angiolini, consignment), belt (Brave Belts, thrifted), necklace (thrifted), earrings (Aldo Accessories).
On Sunday, we had our friend Andrew over for an evening of board games. Didn't even go outside!
Today, we walked to town, did a couple of chores, stopped in at a couple of stores, and then went to see "Guardians of the Galaxy" (loved it). We got groceries on the way home, and now, it's time to chill a little more.
I actually have two pairs of cropped jeans; this pair and a white pair. Since I knew I'd be having lunch out and would be sitting in a movie theatre, I went with the non-white-food-and-dirt-attractant pair.
Linking up to Mis Papelicos' "Share-In-Style: Sailor" gathering. Go check everyone out!
Ahoy-hoy! |
The white top underneath hasn't been getting much wear - it was last seen here in May with plaid and yellow.
And these pants, which I've had for a very long time (purchased at a mall store back when I still shopped in mall stores), but not worn in well over a year, last time here (2nd outfit) in June under my little floral Smoking Lily dress, which I just gave away. I mostly wear these pedal-pushers around the house, but even then, not at all this summer. I guess it is time for them to say bye-bye!
The stuff:
Much-loved shoes and earrings. I last wore these sandals here (last outfit) a few weeks ago with my large green culottes.
Cardigan (Express, thrifted), top (Le Chateau, consignment), pedal-pushers (Reitman's), shoes (Born, consignment), gold hoops (gift from L).
And now, to enjoy the last of my weekend!
I never thought I would admire pedal pushers, but you look rather hot in them! Love the colour!
ReplyDeleteThere you are in that fab denim shirtdress! I plan on getting mine out as soon as it warms up a bit; it's the best light jacket!
I'm gagging for a quiet weekend, but I did manage a quiet Saturday. I refused to get out of bed until 4pm! It was WONDERFUL!

It was a turquoise and silver weekend! Well done on the Ulty goal! I really love the sailor outfit and pose! I'm struggling for sailor stuff. Not even a striped shirt!
ReplyDeleteGlad you had a nice rest. So nice to kick back at home sometimes.
Hope your short week isn't tooo crazy! Xo JJ
Sounds like a fun, relaxed kind of weekend, and comfortable, casual clothes to go along with it! You do look good in those pedal pushers, it's rather a shame you don't wear them very often - I like the 50s vibe of them with the striped tied top. xxx
ReplyDeleteOkay, that does it! I'm off to find a denim shirt-dress of my own today....thrifted of course. And that nautical look! I have a pair of cropped, aqua-denim pants...which will now be teamed up with the sailors! Thanks for your GREAT inspiration!
ReplyDeleteI love a quiet weekend like yours, too. And your denim dress is so great - love the way you added Southwest bling. xox
ReplyDeleteNothing like silver sandals, ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
ReplyDeletethank you for being part of Share-in-Style. You are one of the family now.

There is that pretty chambray dress again !
ReplyDeleteI've kind of given up on pedal pushers. I had quite a few and then I felt like the were making me short and stumpy.
So, I just kept one.
