I Was a Teenaged Dress Week - Casual Friday - Dress and Jeans

Ah, Dress Week...how I will miss your sweet constraints.

I rarely repeat outfits, but I loved this dress and jeans combo the last time I wore it, so I did it again (with different shoes and accessories, of course! ).
I've actually been waiting to wear this awesome necklace that I found at the Bay a few weeks back. Check it out:
Rar! It's like some crazy metal teeth!

Love the black platforms and my stud cuff.

Have a fab weekend!

Dress (Le Chateau, thrifted), jeans (Esprit), shoes (JLo), necklace (the Bay), cuff (old), white gold earrings (gift from L).

  1. Gorgeous shoes! You've inspired me to do my own dress week - I only own 5 dresses and up until 4 months ago I didn't own any! (www.ratemyoutfit.blogspot.com if you want to see my sorryful efforts!)

  4. I really like your "verve" and the combinations you put together! I recently lost some weight and have been venturing into thrift stores to put together some age-appropriate outfits. You've given me some ideas! Thanks!

  7. That is such a cute dress & jeans combination. I love how you even included a casual Friday look to round out your Teenaged Dress Week! How fun.

Thanks for the ideas & suggestions for adding color to the neutral dress and boots! I'm not sure I'm bold enough to wear bright colored tights, but I'm willing to think about it... :) At any rate, bright glasses and jewelry would definitely be fun.

  8. I know, this is not exactly the place to deal with, but could you please make us once a post on your diet which keeps you so thin and beautiful for ever? For ex. to see exactly what you eat, on a weekday.(if possible, with photos:-). This can help some of us a lot, especially regarding meal sizes, quantities, and time schedule on a healthly diet...thanks so much/Lyn/

Kari, well, of course I had to do a dress every day! It wouldn't be a Dress Week without it. Oh, come on, try some tights - do a dark burgundy or purple...baby steps! It's so fun.

Hi, Lyn, thank you so much for commenting. I will definitely do a post on my health and eating, as you've requested - I started taking pictures today. Watch for it this weekend.

  13. You're welcome, Lady K (Lyne). It's actually very enlightening to see what I'm eating as I photograph it. Yes, I was quite heavy a few years ago. Thanks for your kind words about my dad and my walking (it's about 40 minutes to and from work each way, so about 3km each way, so 6K a day, 4 days a week). Thanks so much for your feedback! :)

Thanks, BAM! No kidding - and I was *this* close to not buying these! What was I thinking??
