H is For Halston, Plus Corduroy and Leopard

It's about time I wore my super-Klassy JC Penney Halston shirt.
Layering a turtleneck under it was a game-changer.

  • Blouse - Halston III for JC Penney, vintage 80s, thrifted; last worn here in January 2022 with ORANGE LEATHER SHORTS
  • Skirt - Suvremena Zena, thrifted; first seen here in November 2022 with 90s colours
  • Shoes - Banana Republic, consignment; last worn here in November 2022 with Prada and plaid
  • Coat (below) - Hilary Radley, thrifted; last seen here in December 2022

It also felt groovily appropriate for the late 70s/early 80s vibe of this puffy blouse.
It's covered in tiny H's - for Halston! This line was produced for JC Penney - it's great quality.

I loved wearing this thick corduroy skirt again.
Such a vivid colour.

Slice of life.
Steaming my scarf in preparation for its first wear.

Masked up.
Showing off the ginormous pockets.

Outerwear.
The Unsafe Ocelot!

Accoutrements:
I showed off my vintage Celine scarf to my colleague Jessica, who was very impressed and nearly fell over when I told her I paid 97 cents for it.

  • Silk scarf - Celine, thrifted; purchased here for 97 cents
  • Gloves - thrifted
  • Mask - Lazy Susan's

The stuff:
I do like my leopard!

Brassy bling:
Love that necklace. Why yes, I do have balls.

  • Belt - Talbots, thrifted
  • Necklace - consignment
  • Earrings - Sidney
  • Brutalist rings - vintage mall

Done with the earrings - off you go!

  2. I love that skirt! I have a thing for corduroy and orange always lifts the spirits. I haven't yet found my perfect corduroy skirt, but both you and Ann (Polyester Princess) have featured fabulous examples in your latest posts. x

  3. Definite 70s vibes here, Sheila, and layering a turtleneck underneath takes me right back to some of the outfits I wore back then. Love, love, love the skirt, and very deep pockets are definitely a plus! Loving the pops of leopard, and - obviously - the Unsafe Ocelot! xxx

  4. I really like the combo of that shirt with the skirt together! I don't have any cord in my wardrobe but I do have a bit of orange and it's such a fun colour to wear.
