Teal, Aqua and Watery Floral

Today was a hot one, with temps in the low 30s. Time to cover up!
Flowy and swooshy!

  • Blouse - Olivaceous, consignment; first worn here in May with a shorter floral skirt
  • Skirt - LA Hearts, thrifted; last seen here in September 2021 with cobalt blue
  • Shoes - Prepare Guide, Fluevog; last worn here a couple of weeks ago with white jeans and an open dress

I've worn a variation of this outfit before, with a different teal top.
I still haven't found the Perfect Teal Top.

This one is close, but not quite.
The arms are oddly narrow, and the neckline plunges all over the place.

I have a teal cami on underneath.
The skirt is a watery floral pattern - I like this type of pattern.

Masked up:
A touch of red.

Incognito.
I looped my long scarf around to act as physical sunblock.

Accoutrements:
Love this scarf!

  • Silk scarf - Ed Hardy by Christian Audigier, vintage 90s, consignment
  • Mask - Lazy Susan's

The stuff:
Great honkin' shoes. These are super-comfy.

Aqua bling:
With a few pieces of green!

  • Leather belt - Bronsino, gift from L
  • Malachite/silver bangle - Mexican, thrifted, Sidney; purchased here on the weekend for $30.00
  • Earrings - Charmaine's
  • Pendant - Mexican, Karen's
  • Dragon bangle - Lazy Susan's
  • Silver/aventurine ring - consignment
  • Silver/malachite ring - consignment

  1. The new bangle has its first wearing and it’s super! Am right there with you on liking the pattern of the skirt. I favor patterns b/c they hide many things including when I get food on me. ;)

Also quite like the scarf; not sure if I ever mentioned that before but this time it stands out for me. The color, sentiment and shape are perfect!

    Cheers,
    Laurie

    1. The bangle was very comfy to wear (always a factor). Lol, I didn't think of that, but you're so right, Laurie! How would I even know if I spilled on this skirt?

I love the scarf - the colours are very versatile, and I like the classic tattoo motifs.

  2. Necklines plunging all over the place drive me mad, but the outfit you've created is a stellar one, Sheila. Loving the swooshy skirt - perfect for temps into the low 30's - and I'm swooning over the aqua and green bling! xxx

  4. Even if it's no the perfect teal top for you it is such a nice pairing with the maxi skirt and awesome physical sunblock! Those are really hot temps for you so I hope it cools down for you soon! It's been a really warm day here, spring is definitely around the corner and I'm looking forward to it!

  5. Isn't it the best way to conquer the heat by wearing long and loose? The maxi skirt is dreamy but I understand about the neckline of the top. Fab shoes as ever!
