Armouring up in my clothes is a frequent tool I use.
Kicking off my weekend in style! I felt absolutely marvelous in this outfit.

I twisted them up and tucked them inside the slimmer part of the sleeve to eat my lunch, use the sink and go to the bathroom.
I enjoyed flopping them around otherwise.

My Big Lady Boss Pants always get comments.
I really liked them with the top and the shoes - it all just worked well for me, which felt like clothing karma after the weird week it's been.

Masked up.
I am looking forward to wearing the top again. This is the seventh wearing of the trousers since I bought them in February 2020.

L and I hung out and played board games all weekend, plus we played Ulti on Saturday morning. We went out for brunch afterwards - I wore my game gear - and grocery shopped, followed by more board games, naps and chill-out time. No further outfits (a nice break), but I did capture this.
"Oh, I thought we were still napping."
He's been very happy with the warm weather (not too hot, not too cold).
Thanks so much for popping by!
What an absolutely stunning outfit, Sheila! You look amazing :)
ReplyDeleteAw, thanks, Cynthia!
DeleteI love the drama of that top and it's so perfect with the boss lady pants! You look fantastic, and I'm glad you had a nice relaxing weekend too!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Mica!
DeleteI ditto Cynthia’s and Mica’s comments! Before even seeing what you wrote I immediately thought ‘this is a perfect empowering outfit’ and wasn’t surprised to then read that you felt marvelous in it. Sometimes an outfit is just right and it radiates within which then radiates without. :)
ReplyDeleteGlad you enjoyed your weekend!
Cheers, Laurie
Yup, I swooshed around, feeling very Boss-ish and empowered. I love it when an outfit sings for me. Thank you, Laurie - I hope you had a good one too!
DeleteI like your choice of words…when an outfit sings to me. ❤️
DeleteWeekend was lovely, thanks, spent it celebrating a baby with family who I last saw two weekends ago. Such a sweet return to seeing family in person and more frequently after so many months of not being able to.
Absolutely stunning blouse! I love red, so those pants had me swooning.
ReplyDeleteRed's one of my favourites too, Sam. Thank you!
DeleteSounds like a good relaxed weekend! Sometimes it's very nice to just stay at home. Especially after a busy week. Have a great start of the new one!
ReplyDeleteIt was just what I needed. Thanks, Nancy!
DeleteQuite envious of your relaxing weekend, as we are still running away from next door's noise ...
ReplyDeleteAnyway, let's talk about clothes! Your sheer mesh shirt is gorgeous, and I'm loving the drama supplied by the sleeves, which I would definitely have gotten in twist by the end of the day :-)
Perfect pairing with the red Lady Boss Pants! And oh, hello Vizzini! xxx
Oh gosh, that sucks, Ann, sorry to hear that! We did have a chorus of raucous seagulls, though!
DeleteThank you so much - I loved wearing it.
What a fab outfit, Sheila. I remember those tops from the 1990s with the very impractical sleeves but oh they do look good. Love your big boss lady pants and the new shoes are MAGNIFICENT!!
ReplyDeleteHope you have a great week,
xxx
I think this one is from the last "giant sleeves" era (mid-00s), not as early as the 90s. Thank you, Vronni! Happy week to you!
DeleteI love roses, you look great!
ReplyDeleteMe too, thanks, Kim!
DeleteHi Sheila--I'm Jay Nelson and I've happily been receiving your blog for some years now, but did not get the last two in my email in-box. Could you please see if I was inadvertently removed from the list. My email is jay@kansas.net. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteBlogger no longer provides an email feed, sorry, Jay. Please bookmark my blog address - I post 4-5 times a week. Thank you for your comment and for reading.
DeleteThank you, Sheila. I've bookmarked your blog and will check it daily. Of all the style blogs I follow, yours is at once the most useful and inventive.
DeleteAw, thank you, Jay, that's so sweet and kind. :)
DeleteThat Frank Lyman top was a steal! And I'm loving the footwear too. So original as usual beautiful Sheila!
ReplyDeleteI know, right? Thanks, Lucy!
DeleteGirl, those SLEEVES....I always admire them on others, but as a cellist in my former life, I was never able to pull them off (so to speak). Guns and Roses for sure. :-)
ReplyDeleteI get that, Zida! In my old "normal" the sleeves would have severely gotten in my way. Yes! GnR for sure!
DeleteThis is wonder outfit Sheila! The top is divine and works so well with both trousers and shoes. And my oh my, what shoes they are!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, Anna! Aren't the shoes fab?
