"OH MY GOD, LOOK AT YOU!" shouted my colleague Sheila (yes, there are two of us!) when she saw me this morning.
It doesn't come across anywhere near as bright as it is in real life. This is NEON.
I played around in my closet with my new-to-me zebra jumpsuit, and lit upon this awesome Ted Baker neon orange jacket.

It's such a beautiful fit (with pockets), and I love that I have a bookend pair with the shoes. It's a quick and easy outfit formula, which is why I wore them together in the jacket's first outfit.
I am thrilled with this jumpsuit, although it wrinkles if you look at it, but the hypno-zebra print is a sufficient distraction.

I wore a tank-style black camisole under it, both for warmth and to make this more office-appropriate in case of jacket gaping.
I opened the jacket and flashed the full jumpsuit for several of my colleagues, as well as the floral lining of the jacket (check it out here).

Masked up - this is how most people saw me today.
It made me happy to see so many people smile just from my outfit. I spent my day in a good mood, and trying to bounce that back to my awesome colleagues.

Incognito/outerwear.
I added darker orange bits for the chilly morning. This sleeveless coat has been a very useful purchase.
Accoutrements:
The pink scarf inspired me to wear bright pink lipstick. - Scarf - Marc Rosier, vintage 80s, thrifted
- Gloves - consignment
- Mask - by Mom
The stuff:
As with many Fluevogs, you love 'em or hate 'em. L loathes these, but I love them. They're like wearing flats...only I'm tall (I'm 5'4"). The soles are solid rubber and very bouncy.

- Black/crystal bangle - Alexis Bittar, consignment, Sidney
- Ring - Calvin Klein, thrifted
Have a great weekend, my friends! Thank you all so much for visiting my little corner of the blogosphere - I appreciate you all.
OMG -- what an amazing outfit!!!
ReplyDeleteI love everything about this! The bright orange is so cheerful and it really pops with the black and white print! I love that it made everyone around you smile too! :)
ReplyDeleteDitto to Cynthia’s and Mica’s comments!
ReplyDeleteAm positive I mentioned this song at least once before when commenting on one of your posts…I’m Walking On Sunshine, oh yah, and don’t it feel good! That’s you in your outfit and that’s each person who smiled at you!
Happy weekend!
Cheers, Laurie
I love your zebra styling in combination with orange accents. The zebra jumpsuit is stunning and I just love your orange jacket and shoes.
ReplyDeleteYou look completely awesome Sheila

Nice outfit
ReplyDeleteRight up my alley with this bright jacket. I wonder how it looks with the button undone. Just thinking out loud.
ReplyDeleteGreetje, trying to catch up again.
LOVE this!!!!
ReplyDeleteYou are the sunshine itself! Love the black vest and red gloves with it. Enjoy your weekend!
ReplyDeleteOhMyGosh, Neon AND Zebra! I would have been shouting "Look at you" too. Great pairing.
ReplyDeleteThis is a fab outfit and one that I'd wear in a heartbeat Sheila! The shoes look uber comfy and I'm a big fan of the bookends look. I have a zebra print dress but would love a jumpsuit too x
ReplyDeleteWow, so fabulous outfit, love the neon orange bookending over the zebra print!. Totally rocking it!
ReplyDeletebesos
I'm Monica again! (sorry)
Delete"It's like wearing flats, only I'm tall" - That is so relatable. I just barely come in at 5'2" and used to adore when thick soled mary-janes, creepers, and platform sandals were in style during the late 90s/early 2000s because they often achieved the same effect and were a breeze to walk or stand in for hours on end.
ReplyDeleteThis fab outfit is a riot of colour, pattern, and cheerful vibes. A total head-turner and winner alike.
