Periodontally Pink in Vancouver Clothes

This is going to be brief, my friends - I've had one of my regular periodontal appointments and my happy pill and freezing are starting to wear off, and I need a nap.
I made it to work for the morning, but left at 1:30pm.

  • Blouse - Scotch & Soda, Maison Scotch; vintage shop, Vancouver; last worn here in August 2021 with striped pants
  • Pants - H&M, consignment, Vancouver; last seen here in March with leopard
  • Shoes - Geox, consignment; purchased here for $78.00
  • Coat (below) - L'Atiste, consignment, Vancouver; last worn here in February

As I usually do, I dress for sitting in the chair for an hour.
I finally got around to hemming the leg that fell down on these pants. Hooray!

I actually bought both this top and the pants on anniversary trips to Vancouver, one year apart - the top is from 2018 and the pants are from 2019.
And yet, I've never worn them together.

I have a camisole on under the blouse, as the back is mostly sheer (it's soft pink with tiny black stars).
The pants are so comfy - they are even fully washable!

Masked up.
Of course, the dental office still requires masks (they also took my temperature).

Outerwear - I realized that this coat is also a Vancouver purchase, from when I seaplaned over for a day hanging out with Mel and Shelley (here) in 2019.
Some of my favourite things are from the places I've visited.

Accoutrements:
Yes, I did wear the scarf and the gloves. Our spring weather has been short-lived.

  • Silk scarf - Ed Hardy by Christian Audigier, consignment
  • Gloves - consignment
  • Mask - by Mom

The stuff:
I re-laced the shoes after walking around in them all morning, doing my make-up and hair. I had a little bit of rubbing on the tongue, and the heel, but not too bad. I walked to work in them!

Green and blue bling:
I love those giant earrings.

  • Filigree bracelet - St. Paul's Cathedral gift shop
  • Lucite bangle - vintage
  • Hinged enamel bangle - thrifted
  • Green glass bangle - thrifted
  • Turquoise ring - Glee
  • Fulvia Ring - Wendy Brandes
  • Earrings - consignment

Mom picked me up from the periodontist, as I'm very woozy from the happy pill they give me (I also have my face fully frozen), and came over for some kitty time.
I'd bought her a lovely INC blazer in her favourite red, so she had to try it on.

Perfect fit!!
Vizzini came in for a visit.

Not like last night, when he lurked behind my head for a while.
"Since you're up, how about some kitty treats?"

Yeah, I don't think so, bud. Nice try, though.

And now...sleep!

  2. The blazer looks very interesting with the front closure, and yay for it fitting nicely on your Mom.

You are wearing a perfect outfit for dental work - comfortable and uplifting and nothing fussy. Like you, yesterday I spent an hour in a dental chair, in my case having a crown installed. And like you, I dressed for comfort, nothing fussy, and my pants were uplifting. Of the three, comfort is always my aim when at the dentist!

Hope you slept off the effects and are feeling fine today! Oh yes, and yay for the new white shoes being comfortable.

  3. PS it’s Laurie. Curious how Safari doesn’t take comments on my iPad, chrome takes comments but only as anonymous, and on my laptop Chrome takes comments as my name. I gave up trying to comment with Safari on my laptop!

  5. I really like that top with the pink pants, they are such a great match and it's so fun you got so many of these outfit pieces from your trip! Your mum looks lovely in the red blazer you got her too. Hope you feel better after a sleep to recover!

  6. The pink trousers and Scotch & Soda blouse are a perfect match, and what a coincidence - or not? - that they were both bought on trips to Vancouver! Good to hear your new-to-you shoes have been approved by your feet :-) I do hope you've recovered from your ordeal by now. I do wish my dentist would give me a happy pill too, but all I can hope for is some freezing! xxx

  7. Sympathies for the ongoing dental issues-I'm dealing with a long ordeal too and it definitely isn't fun. No happy pills, just nonvaccine
Those pink trousers are beautiful. Hope you're getting some sleep. Take care..
