But since my outfit is half pink, I guess I'm pink sunshine? I'm at least two (excellent) kinds of lemonade!
- Top - Pant-Man, vintage 70s, thrifted; last worn here in April 2020 with white ruffled pants
- Skirt - J Studio, vintage 80s, thrifted; last seen here in July 2020 (Flashback there on it)
- Shoes - Big Presence Desmond, Fluevog; last worn here in May with the Best Blue Dress
- Panthers jacket (below) - NFL.com; first worn here in March with McQueen trousers
I wrapped up my office's Mental Health Month with a live draw prize on Teams, so I dressed up for it. Oh, who am I kidding? I always dress up!
Nothing new here, just playing in my closet and coming up with new combinations for items I haven't had very long, like this vintage 70s top.
Don't you just love the bell sleeves and the funky pattern?

It zips up the back, and the bell part of the sleeves is lined.
I felt so good in all this colour. Colour Therapy!

- Mask - by Mom
Outerwear - I liked how my Panthers jacket went with the bright pink of my skirt.
I had oodles of turquoise jewelry on, and it sort of went with the jacket.

I had to climb a stepladder today to help out my IT guy, and I did change into my Converse for it. But aren't these the most wonderful yellow shoes?

How's your mood these days? Have you tried wearing your Colour Therapy?
Wow -- what a great combination! Love pink, yellow, and turquoise together!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Cynthia! I love all these brights together.
DeleteI loved that top when you discovered it and the pink skirt is a brilliant choice. You are a ray of sunshine, albeit pink sunshine, in it! The turquoise beads are gorgeous. xxx
ReplyDeleteIt's a lovely top - I felt so good in these bright colours, Vix. Thank you!
DeleteI love the pink and yellow together - I really need to try it in a bold combo like this - it is a beautiful ray of sunshine in an outfit indeed! :)
ReplyDeleteMe too, Mica - go for it! I had so many positive reactions to it.
DeleteThank you so much for the colour therapy! I think I must have whooped for joy when I spotted your opening photo! How wonderful to see that fabulous vintage top again and combining it with the bright pink skirt was a brilliant idea. I'm loving the pink bling too, especially that stunning necklace. I've been in a reasonably good mood these days, must be all the colour therapy I've been practising and seeing on your blog! xxx
ReplyDeleteGlad you enjoyed it, Ann! I love this top and it felt so great with the bright pink. Thank you - I'm glad I dug it out! Good for you - we have to keep practicing it!
DeleteThose shoes are indeed wonderful. Those heels are so gorgeous. Over all it's a cheerful outfit, very attractive. Enjoy your Friday and have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Nancy - the heels make a heart when you put the shoes sole-to-sole. :) Thank you!
DeleteWow, I love the outfit. The top looks so cool. You are stunning. xx
ReplyDeleteAw, thanks so much, Anca!

I love that song! That came out when I was in high school! Thanks, Laurie!
DeleteGood afternoon, you certainly are a ray of sunshine! pairing the top with pink was inspired. The heel on the shoes caught my eye. I too love that your mask matches. Your turquoise collection always catches my eye. I have been sorting out loads of clothes the last couple of days or out in the sun (at last we have some gardening weather) hmm mood a bit down some days but of course mostly up. Positive thinking for me helped by visits to wonderful blogs like yours and Vix. take care Shazxx
ReplyDeleteHello, Shaz! Aw, thank you, my dear! As I noted to Nancy, the heels of the shoes make a heart when you put the shoes sole-to-sole. I love turquoise but it's hard to find pieces that I really like (there's a lot of crap out there). Good for you for sorting clothes, sorry to hear you are a bit down. Aw, hugs to you, hon.
DeleteBck again Sheila, just catching up on past entries and just had to come back and say thank you so much for the home tour!! I like you don't like cooking our dining room has become a Subbeteo(minature football0 room for my two grown sons. I love hearing them use the room and the shouting and laughter. That room has served so many purposes over the years. I love interiors but more than that I love "home". Yours is fantastic. I spied the cd collection so tidy! I take my hat off to you doing the nude portraits. I may be miles away from you in what I wear and my lifestyle - but the way you "use " your home resonated with me. Also congrats on being a published poet!!! Shazx
ReplyDeleteWelcome back, Shaz, thanks for reading the other entries. :)
DeleteI'm glad you enjoyed my wee tour. Ha ha, I love that your dining room is also not for dining! L is very good at keeping all of his CDs alphabetical by artist, then chronologically. Thanks, my dear - I was scared to do them, but I'm so glad I did. Thanks!
An absolutely gorgeous outfit today Sheila! Lovely colours and indeed two types of lemonade. I love that your glasses alway match/compliment your outfits too. I remember those sleeves in the 70's and even sewing a dress or two. The bell was a circle, always lined and not that easy to attach to the rest of the sleeve. Just booked my second vaccination and am so looking forward to a trip to the island in the near future.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Robyn! I try to pick the right glasses to go with each outfit. Oh, how cool - that's totally how these were made, I'm sure.
DeleteWoo hoo! That's awesome! If you'd ever like to meet up, drop me an email (it's in my profile). I'd love to have lunch and/or show you around/go shopping. :)
I just love the colours in this outfit. You're a ray of (pink) sunshine indeed! Pink and yellow is a colour combo I don't do that often even if I really love both of these colours. You have inspired me to try this colour combo.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Ivana! I love these colours together - I've done them before many times. Go for it!
DeleteWow. I never imagined yellow would look so nice next to pink. Delightful!
ReplyDeleteHave you never seen a pink grapefruit, Ally? ;-P Thank you!
DeleteAnd you are indeed a ray of sunshine. Love the top. (And the shoes of course.)
ReplyDeleteGreetje
Thanks so much, Greetje!
DeleteWhat a fantastic compliment to receive not once, but twice! You really do bring the sunshine in this wonderful vintage top. It's rare we see that colour palette used in fashion today, which makes this garment even more of a shining gem!
ReplyDeleteAutumn Zenith 🧡 Witchcrafted Life
I felt so bright and happy in these colours, Autumn, thank you! I know, I think we're due for the return of the 70s/80s brights, don't you?
DeleteYou are definitely a splash of pink and regular lemonade. That top is such a fun piece.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Shelley! I love it too.
DeleteYou ARE a bright ray of pink sunshine, my friend! What a fabulous top! I love pink and yellow together and how fun that you paired your Panthers jacket with this fantastic outfit! So cheerful and fun. Keep shining bright!
