Happy Friday, my friends, and welcome to the weekend! I hope your lives are (somewhat) returning to normal.
- Blazer - Zara, consignment; last worn here in an all-pink outfit in April
- Baby blue blouse - no label, vintage 80s, thrifted; last seen and Flashbacked here in April
- Skirt - Ralph Lauren, consignment; last worn here in March in a power outfit
- Shoes - Effortless Vivian, Fluevog; last seen here in April with a dropped waist
Since I don't have a ton of browns/bronze colours in my spring/summer wardrobe, I poked around in my closet to see what I had to go with it.
That led me to my favourite baby blue blouse.
here if you don't believe me!
here if you don't believe me!
Due to the hot weather today (up in the mid-20s), I spent part of my day with my jacket off.
The jacket is the bridge between the solid baby blue and the bronze.
- Mask - by Mom
I remembered that I have summer hats!
- Hat - thrifted
These are the 3rd pair of shoes I have in this family; the others are the three-toned boots from last weekend, and my shiny pink shoes from my "outfit salad" earlier this week.
- Belt - vintage 60s, Mom's
- Earrings - thrifted, Sidney
- Silver/crystal ring - Soul Flower
- Fulvia Ring - Wendy Brandes
I picked white to go with the shoes.
On my way home from work, I stopped in at Lazy Susan's and found a couple of Lucite bangles:
I have really small wrists, so whenever I find small bangles I buy them. Most bracelets fall off me.
Good advice, Vizzini! Hugs and human treats for all! Stay cool, my friends! I'll be back on Sunday with tales of adventure. Thank you all so much for dropping by!
That's a beautiful blazer and I really like that skirt with it! great find with the bangles too! :)ReplyDelete
Thanks so much, Mica! I love finding little treasures here and there.Delete
That's one fancy outfit - you look incredible. I think that blue blouse is one of my favourite things you own, it looks absolutely brilliant with everything you wear it with.ReplyDelete
Hooray for straw hats, I love them!
Sending you, L and marvellous Mr V lots of love and happy weekend vibes! xxx
Thank you, Vix! I wish I'd gotten to show the outfit off a bit more. I love this blouse, but it is starting to get dark under the arms. But it does go with so much!Delete
I love them too - I and I have two of them, so about time I got around to wearing them again.
Big hugs to you, the lads, and Jon too - I hope you all have a wonderful week.
Yay for summer hats! I’m a big fan of them for the same reason, sun protection. Plus they can add style and pizzaz and even whimsy to an outfit.ReplyDelete
The shimmer that I see in the skirt makes me wonder what it is like when the sun shines on it; some clothes interact with the light to wow, like beaded and sequined material.
And that blue bangle bracelet makes me smile, great color!
Here’s to the weekend and Summer Solstice!
PS Great photo of you and Vizzini! Gorgeous smile!Delete
Agreed, Laurie! I love my hats - I think I need a big wide one, though. Who doesn't like pizzazz and whimsy??Delete
Oh, it's amazing in the sun - like sun on water, with so much shimmer to it. I'm happy with my bangles!
Aw, thank you!Delete
Hi there Sheila, you look wonderful as always and I am a fan of the baby blue blouse which pairs with those shoes so well. the skirt is stunning. I love bangles too. We lost our little rescue cat Amy the other day. Our other new rescue cat Dave seem to take over a bit she got ran over. Blimey sorry I just know you (and Vix did ) understand how sad it is. I have been following but slack on commenting but there as always have been lots of inspired outfits. So glad you got to have a lovely lunch with your Mum the other day. have a great week end ShazxxReplyDelete
Shaz! Thank you so much, my dear! I love my matchy elements, ha ha!Delete
Aw, honey, I am SO sorry to hear that Amy was run over. :( That really suck, hon, and I am sending you the biggest good vibes I can to help you. Big hugs.
That gorgeous jacket does do a great job of connecting the baby blue shirt and shoes with the bronze skirt. The bronze maxi is stunning. I like the baby blue shirt a lot too and it's so pretty with those matching shoes. Such a great outfit altogether. Have a fab weekend and kisses to Vizzini!ReplyDelete
Doesn't it do a good job? I really liked how this outfit turned out. I love the bronze skirt so much - it's a true joy to wear, Ivana. Thank you so much!Delete
Thoroughly gorgeous outfit - and reminder to us all of just how incredible baby blue and earth tones can look together.ReplyDelete
Autumn Zenith 🧡 Witchcrafted Life
I so agree, Autumn! I love mixing unusual colours together.Delete
Life is returning to some kind of normal here in Belgium, which is lovely, but scary at the same time. There's a lot of things we'll have to re-learn!ReplyDelete
Your Fancy Friday look is magnificent, and I can't get over how well baby blue and bronze go together. I'm seriously coveting that baby blue blouse, by the way. Your jungle blazer and all your lovely bling are the perfect finishing touches.
Have a most wonderful weekend, Sheila, Bess is sending purrs to Vizzini! xxx
That is such a relief, Ann! I'm really happy to hear it. But yes, it's a bit scary - I'm not ready to fully go back to normal just yet!Delete
Thank you so much! I really loved this outfit - the blouse is such a great one. Happy weekend right back to you, Jos and Bess, Ann!
Seeing you in this fabulous skirt just reminds me of a navy maxi skirt I have and forgotten about it! Oh I want to wear it now! Love your outfit! That is a gorgeous jacket. Also love the bangles. Have a great Sunday!ReplyDelete
Oh, you need to get that skirt out, Nancy! It's maxi-skirt season! Thank you so much, my dear!Delete
That's a terrific go to blouse. I have a colleague that does Fancy Friday, even from home and posts her looks. By Friday, I'm usually as casual as can be.ReplyDelete
It's really been incredibly versatile for me, Sam. Oh, how nice! I find it's good for my mental health to go a little dressier or funkier one day a week.Delete
Very swanky indeed! I feel as though the jacket was inspired by Monet. Enjoy your weekend!ReplyDelete
Yes, it does have a very Monet-ish vibe, doesn't it? Thanks so much, Nana!Delete
What a fab look!! I love the colourful mask shot too.ReplyDelete
Thanks so much, Lydia!Delete
Oooh, I love the light blue with the bronze! What a striking combination. And that skirt is simply amazing as are your shoes, your blouse, and your jacket! Magnificent as always, my friend!ReplyDelete
Thanks, Shelbee! I love that colour mix too. The skirt is just incredible when you see it in person.Delete
