It started snowing last night and we woke up to cold temps and more snow today. It's a novelty for us west-coasters - not all of Canada is snow-bound in winter!
- Blazer - Vivienne Westwood Red Label, vintage, thrifted; last seen here in October 2019 with spooky bling
- Blouse - Brooks Brothers, consignment; purchased here for $20.00
- Trousers - Talbots, thrifted; last worn here in October 2019 with red and more plaid
- Boots - Prepare 2.0 Tracker, Fluevog; first worn here for New Year's Eve
- Coat (below) - Hilary Radley, thrifted; last seen here a couple of weeks ago
Here's my view of the Castle at 7:45am, with just a light dusting of snow on it.
And now the colour shot:
The pants are fully lined and wool with some stretch so perfect for a chilly day.
Here's the blouse without the jacket - I didn't wear it like this at all (too cold). I really like this pattern of roses.
All buttoned up and looking badass.
Outerwear - this is the warmest coat I own! Thank goodness for the Unsafe Ocelot.
- Necklace - Club Monaco
- Studded cuff - vintage
- Leather cuff - Guess, thrifted
- Onyx/silver ring - Tocarra, vintage fair
- Silver/crystal ring - Soul Flower
- Zipper rose - Victoria & Albert Museum gift shop, London
- Earrings - vintage fair
The necklace is very noisy and rattly plastic - you could hear me coming!
Absolutely awesome outfit!ReplyDelete
Thank you so much, Ismay!Delete
The patterns and colors in this ensemble really play beautifully together. Stay warm!!!ReplyDelete
Thank you, Linda - I will!Delete
Great colors and awesome colors to start the week saying, "I've got this!".ReplyDelete
Yup, it definitely gave me the boost I needed. Thanks, Chalotalo!Delete
what a fab styling...love those plaid pants and the grey blazer is so elegant. The animal print coat is amazing and I do like the red boots.ReplyDelete
Thank you so much! I love the grey blazer - the quality is incredible.Delete
it does look so well made!Delete
Snow didn't get in the way of your style, I see.ReplyDelete
Love the snow shot of the castle – how beautiful!ReplyDelete
I like how you’ve paired the floral shirt with the plaid pants and red boots – oh the glorious reds! X
Thank you, Jess! I see that every morning. I am in agreement over glorious reds!Delete
This shirt/trousers combo is a Sheila-creation. Lesser mortals like me wouldn't attempt anything so advanced. By the way, I heard a rumor that Megan and Harry are planning to move down the block from you. True? :)ReplyDelete
Thank you, Ally! Aw, don't be silly! I wasn't born knowing this - I tried, often failed, but kept on trying!Delete
Not quite down the block, but yes, in the Victoria area. So cool!
Love love love the plaid pants annddd the boots!!ReplyDelete
Thank you so much, Grace!Delete
This outfit is outstanding! I adore the plaid pants with that floral top. Amazing.ReplyDelete
Meshel/The Muffin Queen's Closet
Thank you so much, Meshel!Delete
Fantastic pattern mixing. I love the top but I bet if you didn't wear it with the jacket and the trousers it might look old fashioned. Now it looks fresh and desirable. Love it.ReplyDelete
YES! Exactly, Greetje! I put it with a matchy green skirt and it looked very dowdy and matronly. It probably won't last too long with me for that reason.Delete
Is it not worth to hang on to it for this particular outfit? As this gets an A+ from me.Delete
I probably won't wear this specific outfit again, though - I don't really repeat outfits 100%. I love the outfit, so I might repeat elements of it, especially the pants + blouse.Delete
I'm loving your photo of the snowy castle and trees, but snow is only nice to look at in my book, so please do not - I repeat DO NOT - send it over to Belgium. Although it would please my bosses, who are visiting from Miami. Your outfit is just perfect, I love how you paired the tartan and roses. The shoes, of course, are beyond awesome. No wonder that they were greatly admired. And ovbiously I'm loving your punk stuff! That goes without saying! xxxReplyDelete
Thank you, Ann! No snow for Belgium, got it. But what if we have too much? Will you take some then? :)Delete
Thanks so much, I really liked this look.
Oooh LOVE this one! The roses and tartan are really perfect together!ReplyDelete
Thank you so much, Charlotte!Delete
Yeehah! What a brilliant day to pay you a visit. I LOVE this bit of pattern play. It's adorable and those boots are indeed the star of the show. Oh wow, how I've missed your joyful inspiration darling xxxReplyDelete
Aw, that's such a nice comment, thank you, Anna!Delete
As someone who lives in New England, I scoff at your rare dusting of snow. ;) We've been pretty lucky this year though so I can't complain too much. Anyway, what an amazing outfit! Fantastic pattern combo and yes, those shoes are awesome.ReplyDelete
Ha, yes, we are very wussy about the weather here, Ashley! We've been hit with a huge snowstorm, though!Delete
thank you so much!
totally in love with this roses & plaid combo you created, such a fabulous outfit!. I do love your badass accessorizing and your stunning shoes!, gorgeous!ReplyDelete
Thank you so much, Monica! This is a favourite look of mine, for sure.Delete
ADORE this grey and red combo! The plaid and flowers work nicely together, the jacket shape is very chic, and of course, the shiny red booties are FAB.ReplyDelete
Thanks so much, Shelley!Delete
I love everything about this outfit!!ReplyDelete
Aw, thanks, Fay!Delete
