Although it's starting to stay lighter longer in the evenings, it's still dark out when I take my morning stair picture.
I'm hoping another couple of weeks and then I'll have "normal" light again.- Sweater - Gap, thrifted; last worn here (2nd outfit) in November 2019 for brunch
- Skirt - Andre Courreges, vintage 80s, thrifted; last seen here in November 2018 with a whack of colour
- Shoes - Modern Living Slant, Fluevog; purchased here for $169.99 with gift cards
- Coat (below) - Sfizio, consignment; last worn here a couple of weeks ago
I had a different top planned for this, but didn't like it on - this fun foxy sweater rang my bells and worked well with the rest of the outfit, even the jewelry!
The little bits of blue in the fox's eyes picked up the mixed blues in my outfit.
Isn't this skirt amazing? It's wool and cashmere and is incredibly thick.
I don't wear it too often, but as it's one of my "real designer" pieces, it's a forever-keeper. Can you believe I paid $5.00 for it? For Andre Courreges??
I like how this longer length suddenly looks current, as longer mid-calf skirts are on-trend.
How fickle fashion is!
Outerwear - we're back to our usual winter of rain, clouds and wind.
It's very mild out, so I didn't even need a scarf.
- Beret - consignment
- Gloves - Danier
The stuff:
These shoes were very good for about 6 hours. When I did my decorating for Chinese New Year at the end of the day, I switched over to my Docs for climbing up and down ladders.
Blue bling:
I liked all these blues - it's a good mix.
- Necklace/earrings - Sherman, vintage 60s, thrifted
- Fulvia Ring/lapis lazuli ring - Wendy Brandes
And how was your Monday?
Oh, that skirt is amazing. Love, love, love it with those shoes -- so chic!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Cynthia! I really like the shoes - so fun.
DeleteGREAT shoes!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Gerrilyn!
DeleteWhat a lovely outfit!, those blue shades look stunning, your skirt rocks and the cute fox pullover is such a statement piece. Love particularly your bijouterie! And Shoes!!, they are amazing!
ReplyDeleteLove your plaid coat too, its shape and buttons!, so cool!
besos
Thank you so much, Monica! It was a good Monday outfit: classy but not too crazy.
DeleteAaaaah that diamante! I love vintage diamante. What a great set! The way you work colours through your outfits is always really cool too.
ReplyDeleteSo sparkly, aren't they, Mim? They were such a great deal - sets like this are over $100 at vintage fairs. Thank you so much - it's all deliberate!
DeleteBlue is my favourite colour so your Foxy Blues outfit hits it out of the park for me!
ReplyDeleteGlad I nailed this one for you, Nana, thank you!
DeleteAre longer skirts a trend now? Yay, as I love wearing them. Not that I care whether they're in fashion or not, but still :-) What a amazing blue your skirt is, and indeed, it matches the fox's eyes. How clever! I'm swooning over the divine blue necklace and earrings! Just wow! xxx
ReplyDeleteI think so, Ann - although I have trouble keeping track of trends these days! It's an incredible skirt, but yes, the sparkly makes my crow heart sing!
DeleteI adore the shoes !!
ReplyDeleteLovely outfit. Are you sure it is a fox? I think It is a sleehound.
Greetje
Thanks, Greetje! Google gives me no results for "sleehound" - as the sweater is by Gap, I'm going to guess that it's just a fox.
Deletesorry... sled dog. Language problem here (being a lazy translator really).
DeleteHa! Yes, it does look a bit like a sled dog. :)
DeleteYou know blue is my favourite colour so I love all of the blues here! Not sure what your first choice top was but this fox knit is perfect, you'd never know it was a second choice!
ReplyDeleteMy first choice was a pink silk blouse that I have yet to wear - however, when I put it on, it felt very springy, so I've put it in my warm-weather pile.
DeleteI actually thought when I posted this, "Mica will love this outfit!" Ha!
No leather pants..Anymore?
ReplyDeleteI'll wear them when I wear them.
DeleteCool
ReplyDeleteHave not commented in ages..but those shoes!!! The fit of the skirt...wowzer :) I am so glad you are still doing this blog..:) Lifelong fan!
ReplyDeleteWell, hey, I remember you, Erin! Nice to see you! Thank you so much - yeah, I know, nearly 12 years I've been doing this!
DeleteThose blue heels are so beautiful...and such a perfect pairing with this midi skirt.
ReplyDeleteThank you! I just love them.
DeleteI love this outfit - one of my fave colour combos, great fox graphic, and the skirt is oozing with chic.
ReplyDeleteBlue and black are so classic. Thanks, Shelley!
