Along with getting my de Castelbajac jumpsuit hemmed, I also took in my pink satin pants for shortening.
Jammy pants call for a jammy jacket! And pajamas for Monday? Totally needed.- Jacket - H&M, consignment; last worn here in September 2018 with houndstooth
- Top - VanessaVirginia, thrifted; last seen here (4th outfit) in March, under a leather dress
- Pants - H&M, consignment, Vancouver; first worn here in April with rust
- Shoes - Zara, consignment, Vancouver; first worn here in April with circles and squares
I'm happier with these pants being "ground length" so that I can wear flats and low heels with them.
I fussed with my top today - this lace top was the right colour, but didn't sit right under the jacket.
I do love the jacket, though.
And I felt like I should be lounging about instead of working.
One more day.
I am taking some time off this week to spend with L, for his birthday (which is officially today).
Come on, put on a fake smile.
There ya go.
The stuff:
I liked the blue shoes with these pants. They appealed to me more this time 'round.
Blue bling:
Simple stuff.
- Belt - Lady Foot Locker, thrifted
- Earrings - 10th anniversary gift from L
- Fulvia Ring - Wendy Brandes
As L was sleeping when I left, and Vizzini wasn't curled up with him, I hunted around looking for him - when I can't find him, he's up to no good.
But then I spotted an ear.
"Oh no, not again..." |
He was hiding in his house!
"I was sleeping, actually." |
I gave him some scritches on the head.
"That part was all right." |
Off to make birthday spaghetti!
Yum, birthday spaghetti sounds delicious. Have a wonderful break celebrating L's birthday and enjoying time to yourselves.
ReplyDeleteIt was, thank you so much, Chalotalo. Break time has been lovely so far.
DeleteMorning, Vizzini! looking very snuggly there - bit like our boys who went back to bed with Jon this morning as it's so wet outside!
ReplyDeleteLoving this outfit, you look like you should be in that Agatha Christie film, Evil Under The Sun, 1930s beach pyjamas with an updated vibe. Great idea to get the trousers shortened, can't be doing with tripping up on hems.
Hope L has a wonderful day! xxx
We've had the wet here too, Vix - it just makes you want to stay in, doesn't it? Thank you so much! It was fun to wear. I've passed along your wishes to L, thank you!
DeleteI love how ell all of the colours in your outfit go together, even if the top was a pain to wear with the jacket!
ReplyDeleteHave a nice evening celebrating L's birthday!
Thank you, Mica - yes, those two things just did not get along!
DeleteI'm swooning over your jammy outfit, Sheila. Those silk trousers look totally fabulous with the H&M jacket. Shame about the top, as it matches the jacket's piping perfectly. But I guess you can't win them all. Vizzini is looking like a proper lounge lizard in his leopard print house! Now, go and enjoy your time off. You deserve it, Sheila! xxx
ReplyDeleteThanks, Ann! I'll be on the lookout for another top to wear with this. Vizzini is such a lazy thing. I shall, thank you!
DeleteI love your jacket and the pants look great with it. I can see why you called the outfit 'jammies'! Those shoes are rather lush; you're all over satin today. Enjoy your time off and give Vizzini a scritch (and L!) from me.

Thanks, Vronni! You're right, that is a lot of shiny satin. Thank you - we're having a lovely time so far.
DeleteI absolutely love when you wear this jacket and with these pants - i shall call HughESS Hefner in the lounge jammies :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Trish, Ha, I love it! I am the Heff!
DeleteHappy birthday to L!
ReplyDeleteThe pyjama outfit looks great- I swoon over those satin pants every time! Vizzini is too cute. X
Thanks, Jess! I love these bigass boss pants.
DeletePyjama style definitely looks the way to go - I'm still looking for the perfect 30s hostess pyjama pattern. Your outfit looks wonderfully comfortable.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Mim! I would love to find hostess pajamas!
DeleteSheila, hello. I hope you are well. The lack of post for the past 2 work days got me worried. Best wishes, always.
ReplyDeleteSorry, sweetie, I do usually "sign out". I'm still here!
DeleteOh this outfit fills me with joy!
ReplyDeleteThe colours are a delight....
Those shoes...
Sigh.
Your colour combinations are my "happy place"!! :oP

Thanks so much, Samantha! I love lots of colour!
DeleteThese satin jammies are the cat's pyjamas, as they say! Totally fab, luxurious and yet comfortable too, how perfect. I barely noticed the slippers, but golly you're in satin heaven here x
ReplyDeleteThank you, Anna! It was a very comfy outfit!
DeleteGorgeous color, yes you look like a Hollywood start just lounging around your home... outstanding.
