Happy V-Day! Wishing you all lots of love and good vibes! Remember to love yourself and be kind to yourself first!
I had to wear this groovy top today. Shame it was really wasted, as I lasted until 1pm and then went home. Sheila sick. I've been sleeping all afternoon.- Blouse - Hazel, thrifted; purchased here for $8.50
- Skirt - J. Crew, thrifted; last worn here (6th outfit) for my birthday long weekend in October 2016
- Shoes - Mini Qtees, Fluevog, consignment; last seen here in November 2016 with plaid and flare
- Unsafe Polar Bear coat (below) - Vassali, vintage, thrifted
Really gritting my teeth here. I loved the ginormous sleeves of this blouse. It was very comfy and swooshy. It will be lovely in warmer weather (I am wearing a camisole under it for coverage).
Although the centres of the flowers are pink, they also read coral-orange to me, so I did an orange skirt.
And orange suede mini, to be accurate.
Brrr...still cold out, but all the snow is gone. Yay!
Thrifted fur boa, with thrifted pink angora/wool gloves.
The stuff:
I enjoyed the unexpected shoe with this outfit. These are fabulously comfortable.
Rhinestone bling:
The bracelet snagged on the blouse twice: once on the front, and a big snag on the back. Arg. The blouse is fine, but not as perfect as it once was.
- Earrings - vintage fair
- Bracelet - Birks jewelry, vintage 70s, Mom's
- Ring - Uffizi Gallery gift shop
I hope your day is filled with wine, flowers, chocolate and yummy food. Happy V-day!
Hope you are feeling better friend and I loved that top the moment I set my eyes on it; what a great find.
ReplyDeleteThanks, hon!
DeleteHope you feel better - it's not nice being sick :( On the plus side, you looked great! It's a shame the bracelet snagged on you top as both are very pretty. Almost looks like a dress in the first photo with the skirt layered underneath :)
ReplyDeleteGetting there! Thanks so much. I know, I was so cheesed at the bracelet. Thanks, Mica!
DeleteIt may not sound like a big deal to you but it's a big deal to me: when I see you wear something I own (pink gloves!), I feel my taste is validated. Thanks for that.
ReplyDeleteWoo hoo, we are glove twins! So awesome.
DeleteThat top is all kinds of wonderful. I adore it! But back to bed, you! This flu is a nasty piece of work. Love yourself first. Happy Valentine's Day.
ReplyDeleteI do too - I might need to wear it with ginormous trousers. Thanks for the sage advice, Mel!
DeleteGreat outfit, as usual.
ReplyDeleteWow! All you Pacific Northwesters seem to be under the weather together! You've mentioned that you've had an unusual amount of snow. You are probably not used to that. Also, as a continental US northeasterner, wearing shoes, gorgeous they may be, on cold snowy days...ummm...not so great!
Feel better!
Thanks, Carol - yeah, everyone at my work is sick right now. Definitely not used to the snow. Don't worry, I never wear these shoes outside.
DeleteI love your tights - have we seen them before?
ReplyDeleteYes, I think I've worn them once or twice, but they are fairly new as my collection goes.
DeleteWhat a stalwart effort to get into work so soon. It's flu baby, so give in and be ill!
ReplyDeleteThose huge sleeves are fab on this top and I love how you matched your tights to the pattern.
Take it easy sweetheart and forgot about work x
Anna
I know, it was silly of me. I have to look after myself. Thanks, hon!
Deletewell, those shoes are amazing and I'm in love with them!! two-toned shoes with a twist!.
ReplyDeleteAnd such a magnificent floral blouse, that's just my cup of tea! It would look even more lovely in spring, with a pair of black capri pants, or whatever you like!!
besos & get well soon
Thank you - I love them! I am so excited to wear this blouse in the spring!
DeleteYou sick too? For me it is the second time in two weeks. You should see me now... no better not.
ReplyDeleteThe blouse and shoes are lovely.
Greetje
Same here! I was sick with a cold just 2 weeks ago. So unfair.
