More snow today, but now (late, after 8:30 pm) it's turned to rain and fingers crossed that it will all be gone by morning, like a sad, white, snowy dream.
In contrast, this is a grey, soft, purple reverie, planned for the Senior VP being in the office. He likes it when I match my hair.- Jacket - Jaeger, thrifted; last worn here in October 2016 pre-Alice Cooper
- Sweater - August Silk, consignment; last seen here in January 2016 while fully fringed
- Skirt - Chia, vintage 80s, thrifted; last worn here in October 2016 with so lavender-y things
- Shoes - Amalfi, vintage 80s, thrifted; first worn here in October 2016 with black velvet trousers
- Coat (below) - Hilary Radley, thrifted
Aside from the stoopid weather, I went to see "Franca: Chaos and Creation" as part of the Victoria Film Festival with Elaine (Wikipedia link here). It's a biography about the editor of Vogue Italia by her son - very interesting.
The weather has been causing quite the panic here, as no one is ready for it.
Seriously, these are the warmest outerwear pieces I own! I appreciate all the great ideas you guys came up with for cold weather, but give us one or two more days and we'll literally be blooming with flowers. February is usually our early spring here.
The usual stuff: Danier toque/scarf, and thrifted vintage long gloves.
The stuff:
Adored these shoes - seriously, so comfy.
Silver bling:
Brooch by Grandma.
- Brooch - Pastelli, vintage early 60s, Grandma J's
- Earrings - thrifted
- Onyx ring - gift from Mom & Dad c. 1986
- Crystal ring - Uffizi Gallery gift shop
Done with this snow. Begone!
I hope the snow melts soon...

Thank you!
DeleteCheck you out She !
ReplyDeleteThe purple is magnificient. I always have a little laugh when we have visitors in the office and tell everyone "tomorrow I have to shower because someone is coming to the office".
Ha, thank you, Lorena! Hee hee, that's so cute! I always tell them, "Well, I guess I have to be normal now!"
DeleteThe purple is gorgeous. You look absolutely corporate! Actually, your outfit was amazingly similar to one I wore the other day...Sheila dressed like me! You made me smile...
ReplyDeleteCarol, you're just sending good vibes to me - we're on the same wavelength! Happy to make you smile - thank you!
DeleteI like the purple and grey together Sheila! You put up with so much from the cold and manage to stay stylish. I know what it's like to be near the end of a season and uninspired and want the change in weather to unlock new outfit options though! Even though it's not that cold here, we still get a change. This weekend it's going to be 39 (celcius!) so if I could I'd send some warmth your way!
ReplyDeleteI love purple and grey together - so classy. Thanks, Mica! Yikes, I can't even conceive of how hot that is! I'll send you cool if you send me hot!
DeleteI like the hair and skirt matching idea, I might have to try that myself. And hey, I know you've got lots of lovely coats to share, but just keep warm honey x
ReplyDeleteAnna
