Pows of Yellow

Ah, Friday! I have a jam-packed weekend, and I'm excited to get 'er going, so I'm a woman of brevity today.
Casual Fridays are something I do not do.

  • Jacket - Guess; last seen here (2nd outfit) in March for a partial sick day - same shoes!
  • Top - Mossimo, consignment; last worn here (4th outfit) in June for a visit with the Aussie relies
  • Skirt - no label, vintage 80s, made in Vancouver!; last seen here in April with double leopard
  • Shoes - Big Presence Desmond, Fluevog; last worn here a couple of weeks ago for a trip to the dentist

I was happy with this outfit - I love pulling out reds and yellows with this jacket. As I noted last time I wore this skirt, I hand-washed it (since I only paid $5.00 for it, I risked it) and it came out fine! Hurrah!
I hate this little black t-shirt-y fabric top - I've had it for several years (and I'm not even going to recap it) and it's a little ratty-looking and pill-y. Time for it to go. But I need a new black sleeveless top for layering, so now that's on the radar. I did pop into the Patch after work, but no luck.

The stuff:
Usually I do pops of yellow. These shoes and belt felt more like pows! Yup, definitely pows. Pow!

Simple bling:
I loved how the belt looked in the loops of the skirt's waistband.

  • Earrings - thrifted
  • Belt - Liz Claiborne, vintage 80s, thrifted

Have an awesome weekend! I'll be back on Sunday with blatherings about my adventures.

  1. Really like how you used the colours of the jacket to make up your outfit :) It is a very pretty jacket too! Just increases my longing for some nice printed jackets for spring - some stripes and florals would be nice, I'll see what I find when the time comes.

    1. It's the easiest way to build an outfit around a patterned piece - more prints are definitely needed! Thanks, Mica!

  2. Looking fab,and i love taking a chance on hand-washing (mostly b/c I don't care for the dry cleaner's chemicals). The shoes are divine. xox

    1. I never risk it unless I don't mind ruining a garment. I was lucky this time. Thanks, Patti!
