Woo! I had such fun with today's outfit. Can you guess why?
Maybe it's because I have Wonder Woman's face plastered across my chest?- T-shirt - DC Comics, thrifted; purchased here for $9.99
- Skirt - Episode, thrifted; first worn here in July with baby blue
- Shoes - Calvin Klein; purchased here for $52.80
The t-shirt is not totally appropriate for my work (maybe on a Friday), but it's August and it's dead, so screw it, I'm wearin' it!
I deflected negative energy with my magic bracelets - BAM! Pow!
Many of my coworkers were delighted with this Lynda Carter-era Wonder Woman. I think I'll have to wear this with a blue skirt, red boots and a gold belt, yes? Really get my WW on!
Instead I went for pouffy black leather. And it was/is a totally hot day out! So. Hot.
The stuff:
All the reds must be worn! This was the first time wearing these shoes, and aside from a bit of a rub on one of my renegade toes, they were lovely to wear all day. Win!
Red bling:
Those are definitely magic bracelets!
- Belt - Plum
- Steel cuff - thrifted
- Leather cuff - Rimanchik
- Earrings - Tania Gleave
I think that's the first time I've liked leather in a skirt. Love that you made WW (semi-) work appropriate!
ReplyDeleteLeah from www.thriftshopchic.com
Really? Ha, you may want to prepare yourself, Leah - I own and wear a LOT of leather, including a couple of pairs of pants. Thanks so much, re: WW - she is the best!
DeleteYay, WW! The character, unknown to many young people, will get lots of attention soon when a new movie starring her appears. WW for a new generation.
ReplyDeleteI hope the new movie is good! I've watched the trailer so many times! It's about time a female superhero got her own movie!
DeleteI love it Sheila ! and it just reminded me of your WW pose :)
ReplyDeleteYou remember when I did a whole week of them? That feels like forever ago! It took a long time to dig it out, but I did a "Wonder Woman" month of poses in August 2010 - 6 whole years ago!
DeleteWe love it! Thanks for featuring our red Rimanchik cuff as part of it!
ReplyDeleteVery cool to "meet" you, Anita. I love buying local, and I adore Rimanchik products.
DeleteGreat meeting you too. Love that you support secondhand, local and handmade. And WW.
DeleteI love wearing slightly inappropriate for work tees when I can. Definitely a fun way to add some kick to your day. Your Wonder Woman is great!
ReplyDeleteMe too, Charlotte! Thanks!
DeleteLove your outfit today!!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Sandy!
DeleteThis is a fabulous outfit! You look so sexy in that leather skirt and those red heels - hot stuff!!!! And yes, I think you have lost weight recently, haven't you? (Am visiting your posts backwards so see the most recent post to see the relevance of this comment?) Kickass hot, baby, love it x
ReplyDeleteAnna
Nope, I have not lost weight - it must be the bras, ha ha! Thank you, Anna!
DeleteTotally fun look! That skirt rocks! I've been after a leather or pleather (ideally midi length a-line or pencil) skirt for ages now. That is definitely item that is completely lacking in my closet.
ReplyDeleteHope you're having a fabulous weekend!
xoxo ♥ Jessica
I love leather skirts - watch for a new one in tomorrow's weekend post!
DeleteI would so wear that outfit! Love the poufy leather skirt; I've never been able to find a full skirted one, only fitted ones.
ReplyDeleteI've never seen one either -that's why I snatched it up! Thanks, Shelley!
DeleteMagic cuffs - yes! Wonder Woman! (insert sounds of superpower moves here) I love your combo. You need a magic lasso too to make your coworkers fess up to taking pens, etc., and the last doughnuts from the snack room.
ReplyDeleteBam! Pow! Right in the kisser. Thank you, Mel! Ha, I totally do - next time, for sure.
DeleteThis outfit is just perfect on you. xx
ReplyDeleteThank you! :)
DeleteThis outfit is soooo good. I LOVE LOVE it. The shape is perfect for you. Love the way the top of the skirt is, the shape and material of the skirt, the fab shoes. And of course the shirt. Crazy about everything.
ReplyDeleteGreetje
Thanks so much, Greetje! I was worried it might read "too young" but then I thought, "screw it!" Ha!
