Brown? In Summer?

Now that we are in mid-August, the weather around here has finally gotten to summer!
And, as you may know, I rarely dress seasonally-appropriately. Long sleeves, it is! And brown, which is totally not a summer colour. Why not, I say!

  • Blouse - Ralph Lauren, consignment; purchased here on the weekend for $14.50
  • Skirt - J. Crew, thrifted; last seen here in May with multiple patterns
  • Shoes - Tod's, thrifted; last worn here (2nd outfit) for Urbanite at the Art Gallery

I actually prefer long sleeves - less sunscreen is fine by me. This is the first wearing of this blouse and oh, how my heart soars at all those ruffles! I did have to turn the cuffs up once, and I am also wearing a burgundy cami under it due to the super-sheerness of the material. And you can only see my tattoo if you look for it.
I love this skirt - such a pretty colour and so shiny!

The stuff:
Big honkin' shoes!

Green bling:
Nothing matches, but everything goes.

  • Necklace - vintage 60s, Mom's
  • Ring - vintage 70s, Mom's
  • Earrings - Stella & Dot, consignment

  4. Fantastic outfit - mint green and brown are so dreamy together. They're serene, but in no way boring, and just look incredible on you.
