Classic Plaid for VIPs

We have VIPs in our office today and tomorrow - a Big Deal - so I toned myself down a titch.
Loafers! A neck scarf! Plaid!

  • Sweater - Talbots, thrifted; last seen here (2nd outfit) in October 2014 with a ribbon skirt
  • Skirt - Nygard, thrifted; last worn here in July 2014 with blue accents
  • Shoes - Hilary Radley, thrifted; last seen here with my "elf costume" in December 2014

It's so dark in the mornings - it's been rainy and gloomy in general. It's making all the colour in my pictures wonky, plus the lack of light is causing me to be blurry. Yeah, I keep telling myself that, hee hee.
Love this skirt. Love, love, love.

Now, how to look classy for our quarterly presentation meeting (at which I've been roped into presenting not once but twice!), followed by a hockey game? Stay tuned - I probably won't be posting tomorrow night as I'll be home late.

The stuff:
Not the prettiest shoes in the world, but I do like them. They are awesome to wear.

  • Scarf - Vera, thrifted
  • Earrings - Venice, gift from L

Many people commented on my neck-bow. That's called a "pussy bow", a term you rarely hear anymore. I wonder why? Hee!

  3. Great skirt. I'd steal it if I was smaller. And lived in Canada. And knew when you aren't home. :-)

  5. I can see why you'd love this skirt - its gorgeous.
We have a joke at work that when we have visitors, like vips, we tell each other the day before: "hey remember to bathe and brush your hair tomorrow, we have visitors" ;)

  6. Yes, that skirt is really great, and I do like the shoes too. I love the phrase pussy-bow, I still use it (just bought a red pussy-bow blouse, as it happens!) xxx
