Cowboy Beech Leopard, Shopping in Suede

This is it! I'm off today and tomorrow, then we're both off for Christmas plus the stat on Monday and the extra day for Boxing Day on Tuesday. As this is my last post before Christmas, I would like to extend you all a very

Merry Christmas!
Happy Hanukkah!
and
Festive Festivus!

Or your celebration (or not) of your choosing.

Yesterday at work was busy, but I kept my spirits bright with some rockin' mustard yellow:
I haven't worn this sweater since last February, a serious oversight.

My groovy Smoking Lily cape-worn-as-skirt - and check out my new-to-me cowboy boots:
And spotted legs!

As always, this cape calls for Drama!
See my feather earrings above? I had a lot of comments about how they matched my hair.

The stuff:
Those boots are by Two Roads, they're real leather, made in Spain, and I couldn't find anything about them online. The heels and soles are not leather, but they are super comfortable, and I think I'm going to wear these a lot.

Accessories:
I liked the fluffiness of the earrings, although they stuck to my lipgloss whenever I bent over.

Someone was helping me take pictures.
Silly ol' bub.

I love the lining of the boots:
Cacti, a pony, a horseshoe and a steer head! Awesome!

I also got a kick out of the price:
This was written on each boot, on the inside of the strap. It says "$74.99" and "$47.99" (crossed out). I got them for $32.99 on consignment.

Sweater (Pria), cape/skirt (Smoking Lily, thrifted), tights (Le Chateau), boots (Two Roads, consignment), earrings (consignment), belt (Plum), cuff (SkinzNHydz, local).

My mission for today: finish my Christmas shopping! I dressed for walking and for warmth. It's pretty cold out, but the upside is it's sunny!
Woo, that's bright!

My Skott's washable suede skirt (last outfit), my Max Studio sweater (last outfit), with layered shirt and cami, and of course, my Miz Mooz boots.
I've had that necklace for over 5 years.

My outerwear:
Rock on for Christmas!

I took my camera with me, but I was quickly bogged down with bags. I did see these amazing chalk art drawings:
Maybe I had to be on the X, but this was still cool, if not quite 3D.

There was a series of these copies of famous paintings.
That one is "The Penitent Mary Magdalene" by Titian, 1560.

I wish the artist had been around.
I would have given him/her some money.

When I got home, the kitties helped me sort everything out:
Vizzini crawled into all the bags, while Inigo settled on the mounds of tissue.

Happy Holidays, from my fam to yours!
I'll be back on Monday or Tuesday.

  3. Happy Holidays to you too. I love that green sweater on you especially, and how clever of you to wear the cape as a skirt! I would've been smitten with the lining in those boots too.

  5. Cape skirt ---> I covet! I'm obsessed with mustard yellow right now, so I simply love your outfit. I wonder if I can get away with wearing regular cape/drape as a skirt pinned to overlap....hmmmmm....you've given me ideas.

  6. How cute! That sweater definitely needs wearing more often. I love the cowboy boots, so adorable. I keep searching for the "right pair", but I'm afraid cowboy boots just aren't my style. (or really shaped for my foot comfort)

Your suede skirt is so classic Sheila.

The sidewalk drawings are so cool! Love the kitty photos.

    Happy Christmas!

  7. Yellow looks great on you, as do capes. You're naturally dramatic, so you pull off Extreme Fashion.

    Merry Christmas!
