In the hallowed tradition of previous Dress Weeks (click here and here to marvel), namely Dress Week, Return of Dress Week, It Came From Dress Week, Son of Dress Week, and I Was a Teenage Dress Week, we continue with:
The boots will kick this week off in style: these Bronx beauties were a mere $60 on sale about 5 years ago, and are one of the few pairs of shoes I have from before I lost weight. They are hazardous to walk in, but good for looking scary! The dress is a nice soft sweater dress - got it a few years ago when I had to replace my whole wardrobe. I always want red dresses. They're my weakness.
The sweater was layered over top with my new-to-me belt (I had to do some belt-hole punching with my trusty steak knife today to make it fit).
You are the victor for your great poses and monster pictures!
ReplyDeleteHi, Sheila, hope you don't mind your blog to be mentioned on the YLF, among comments to "Fabulous diaries of daily outfits"...:-)
ReplyDeleteCheers!
/Lyn/
I am a red dress girl myself (maybe it's something to do with red hair?) so I can't *not* vote for the dress. The buckled boots are fabulous, though.
ReplyDeleteRed dresses are my weakness, too. They're like kryptonite.
ReplyDeleteI love the dress! It looks so cozy and warm
ReplyDeletefor some reason, it hadn't hit me that perchance i could take a dress and layer a sweater and belt over it. i love that idea!! you look fabulous as always!
ReplyDeleteAlison - you're so right. That dress is in the "get rid of" pile.
ReplyDeleteWendy, thanks! I love monster movies!
Lyn, you are too sweet! Thank you so much. Aw...
Kari, I hear you...but the dress has issues (bad lining, too long). I'll look for a new one.
Sal, what is up with that?
Thanks, K - it was!
Eednic, I know, it was like a light bulb went on. Why have I never done it before? Thank you!
Very chic and Parisian, if you ask me, and you are just too cute in your posts, LOL.
ReplyDeleteThanks, FA. I strive to amuse.
