Special Occasion - Dev's Birthday

Our friends Xine and Dev do a big barbecue and party at their house every year for Dev's birthday - I wore this last year.

I was actually really tired from my walk to Weight Watchers and back (1 hour each way) Sat morning, and L and I went out for lunch and did some shopping, so I wore the same thing to the party as I did during the day:
Simple dress (with sleeves, remembering that I was cold at the party last year), plain thongs, big ol' belt. It felt comfy, although I could have used a jacket! Great party, though - good to see friends and some new people too!

Shout out to some of the cool women that I talked fashion (and other things) with, in case they find this blog: Margaret, Tracy, Fiona, Tara! Hi!

Dress (Vero Moda), cami (Esprit), shoes (Naturalizer, consignment), belt (Abercromie & Fitch, consignment), gold hoop earrings (gift from L).

  4. That's a great outfit Sheila. That's interesting that you still go to Weight watcher's meetings. I am a lifetime member (I lost about eight-ten kilos using WW after Billie-Mae was born) but I've only gone to a couple of meetings over the past twenty years. It's obviously worked for you!

  8. LOVE this dress! I've been craving plaid lately and can't find any that's not too crazy bright, but that's a great color.

  9. Thanks, Hillary! It was very comfy.

    Wendy, you betcha!

Kari, thanks! I used to hate these colours when I was younger, but now I love them.

Sue, thank you! Yes, I absolutely go every week. I have a tendency to get complacent and fall into old habits. This way, I have accountability, and I can also be an inspiration for women who are just starting out, or are partway, through their journey!

    Sher, thanks, me too!

Sal, gotta love a plaid dress!

Tina, if you can, walk everywhere! Thank you!

Erica, it would look great on you. It also came in a green/blue mix.
