I Felt Fab Today - A Really Retro Dress

Okay, so you know one of my favourite colour combinations is turquoise and brown. So when I saw this dress at a local thrift store, I checked it out verrrry carefully.
Handmade (beautifully, too - look at how the pattern is lined up), cotton (not horrid double-knit polyester), perfect fit (like it was made for me!), and no rips, tears or stains. And only $24.99! Score! I think it's probably from the 60s or early 70s (it's a plastic zipper - metal zippers are earlier).

If it works, click on the picture above to get a good look at the pattern, or just look at the background behind the stuff:
Added my favourite brown platforms (my first really high heels since I broke my toe), Grandma J's 50s/60s? Chinese necklace (those are real stones, not plastic), my groovy turquoise bangles and my big gold hoops.

I felt fabulous - and it was a "fake it till you feel it" kind of day, believe me.

(Man, I have a lot of parenthetical comments in this post! Ha!).

Dress (handmade vintage, thrifted), shoes (Le Chateau), necklace (Grandma J's, vintage), bangles (ethnic shop), gold hoop earrings (gift from L).
