Funky Friday - The Return of the Spanish Ladies Dress

Not to be a walking cliche but TGIF! What a long day.
This is my first "bare legs" day of the year! It was a little chilly this morning, but fine for the day. Yay! More shaving!

  • Cardigan - Jessica Howard, thrifted; purchased here for $6.00
  • Dress - Lirub; last seen here in August 2014 with weekend hair
  • Shoes - Tsubo; last worn here in September 2014 with chartreuse

I adore this dress, and I know it has its fans out there in the blogosphere - I've had it since 2010, when L, Mom and I went to London here.
Today was the first wear of this little shrug-ish cardi. It did remind me a bit of a boob-holster, but it stayed in place and I was warm without feeling I was overly covered.

I also wore my red frilly vintage slip under it all to make the skirt extra flouncy (and cover the cleavage).
I can see my bare toes!

Outerwear for morning, all bundled up.
No gloves and jacket open on the way home.

The stuff:
Ah, the Kraft Dinner shoes! I love everything about these except that they rub on my toes. But I'm not willing to give them up. Toes must get tougher!

Round bling:
I'm so predictable - I always wear the same accessories with this dress.

  • Belt - Plum
  • Cuff - thrifted
  • Earrings - Bakelite, vintage 60s, vintage fair

Tomorrow's my first day of Ultimate frisbee for the season, followed by brunch and Winesday - a busy day! What are you up to this weekend?

  1. Yey for the first bare-legged day! :) Always nice when the weather heats up enough to shed the tights.

I do like that red belt with the dress, so no harm in being a little predictable now and then.

  4. I love that shrug! I've been looking for similar little sweaters for the office (not that I need to anymore) because they are cute and warm against summer A/C. That dress print is just perfect.

Gosh they've come a long way just like mine - of course yours are in better shape - they're really good shoes.
