My friends, you will forgive me for my hasty post - I am exhausted from a 10+ hour day and I need some time with my sweetie.
Onward! New things!- Jacket - Danier Couture, consignment; last seen here in October 2014 when I tied one on
- Top - Simpli, consignment; last worn here in May 2014 with denim (and exposing the shoulders)
- Skirt - Kenneth Cole, consignment; purchased here on our trip to Van
- Shoes - Diesel, consignment; purchased here, also that same weekend
I need more sleeveless tops, in some different colours. I had to drag this somewhat-forgotten top out of my "soft tops" drawer in the bedroom (where I forget about them) to go with this skirt.
See the tag hanging off my hip? |
The skirt has about a bazillion colours in it, including a deep burgundy. I have a magenta cardigan, a lemon cardigan and all kinds of black, but nothing in magenta, lemon or brown small layering tops. I think I may need to go shopping, heh.
The stuff:
These shoes were awesome on their first wear! I adore this lower heel height and the slide "buckle" stayed in place properly, only loosening itself on one shoe once, early in the day. After a quick adjustment, they stayed put for the rest of the day.
Dangly bling:
I've been on a stud earring kick lately, but these dangly ones have remained in my earring collection for over 4 years.
- Earrings - Plum
- Purple ring - Dad's, vintage 50s, Frances Jewellers
- Amber ring - some junky store in the 90s
Sheila go crash now. Back tomorrow.
Ten-plus hours...yup, that's one loooong day. At least you looked good. I love the heel of your new-to-you Diesel shoes. I'm glad they were kind to your feet.
ReplyDeleteExtremely gorgeous skirt, yay for shoes that are first-wear awesome and look so fantastic with the rest!
ReplyDeleteGo crash. Wine, then coffee, all better. Love this skirt! xo
ReplyDeleteGorgeous skirt, really great colours. Hope you've caught up on some rest and relaxation after your busy day! xxx
ReplyDeleteIt may have been a long day, but you still look pretty fresh! I really like this outfit, and have been wondering what those shoes would look like on your feet. I wish I could wear shoes like that!
ReplyDeleteI am always looking for simple tops to layer under jackets and cardigans that are not made of that horribly cheap jersey-like fabric that wrinkles like crazy.
