A Jammy Dress for a busy day. This one has a very "Things We Will Wear In The Future" vibe about it.
It's true, I hadn't had any coffee yet. Little monster - inside you go!
Anyway, I believe the word "futuristic" describes this dress well.
With boots (the bigass blue ones) this wouldn't look out of place on a starship. It's very spacey.

I layered a camisole and a half-slip underneath - you can see a teeny bit of it at the top of the slit.
Colleague Glenn thought my tattoo peeking out at the shoulder window was a piece of lint.
It was very comfy to wear - a good Jammy Dress. Not too warm, not too chilly.
I love how this cashmere scarf transforms it. Wow!
I didn't wear it like this at all, I confess. I draped the pashmina over my chair and forgot about it for the rest of the day.

Outerwear. More blue!
You can see how the sweater dress sticks its tongue out from the coat. It wasn't Rage, but I found it annoying, so I'll try a different coat next time.

Oh, this dress is so much fun! I love the asymmetry and the seaming. Your Star Wars shoes are perfect. You need one of those brooches shaped like the Star Trek pins...or maybe not! And, the pashmina really does pop against the blues.

I have one of those brooches - I should have worn it! Next time!
DeleteMy immediate thought was Star Trek. I love the blues and the asymmetry of their placement but have yet to become a fan of asymmetric hems. My brain always imagines taking scissors to even things out! And I swoon every time you wear a jammy dress. So easy to style and comfy to wear. I think it was you who said ‘one and done.’
ReplyDeleteHello Vizzini!
Cheers, Laurie
One and done is something I do say often, Laurie! Not everyone likes asymmetry - it's okay if your brain goes "urk!" when you see it, ha ha!
DeleteThat dress is absolutely fabulous, Sheila, and it looks utterly amazing on you! Jammy dress with Star Trek vibes! Hearing you on the dress sticking its tongue out from the coat, though. That would definitely drive me mad. But it looks fantastic with the pashmina! xxx
ReplyDeleteI hope you had a nice conversation with Elaine. Thank you for introducing me to her.
ReplyDeleteShe said hello to you, Ally!
DeleteNaughty Vizzini escaping like that! He looks like he's about to make another dash for it in the last photo.
ReplyDeleteA very futuristic dress. I wondered why you hadn't popped your Star Trek pin on it, Marsha thinks like me. Asymmetry makes me a bit twitchy hence why I live in a double fronted house, brains are so weird. xxx
This blue dress is simultaneously giving me futuristic and vintage vibes. Maybe I should say vintage futuristic. It makes me think of Star Trek and how we used to think of futuristic outfits...and how we still sometimes think of them.
ReplyDeleteAnyhow, it's a lovely dress and you look fabulous in it!
